Study how to create complex hardware and software systems, manage complex computer information systems (IT), and lead a technical team. Now offering two new tracks in Software Engineering and Computer Information Systems. Both of these tracks will build on your existing experience by deepening your skills and knowledge in the main areas of computer science. A bachelor's degree in a related field is recommended, but not required. Optional catch-up modules are available for each course to help bring you up to speed.

Upon completion of the MSCS program, you’ll be trained in problem solving, collaboration, creative design processes, professional literature, writing, presentation, and ethical practices. You’ll be prepared for advanced professional positions in software development and other technical/design-oriented roles in computing.

Our computer science master's program was designed with working professionals in mind. You’ll get a rigorous, quality education that fits within your busy schedule. All courses will be available online in an accelerated eight week format, but three courses per semester will be offered face-to-face on campus.

Software Engineering

The software engineering track builds or sharpens your skills in creating problem-solving tools using computers. The specialization courses dive into traditional concepts and current trends in the theory, design, and implementation of programming languages, compilers, and advanced algorithms. A MSCS degree with this concentration opens the door for advancement in a career in software development, data or business analysis, and more. People in this field with a master's degree typically perform roles such as team lead or senior developer.

English is one of the most versatile degrees you can pursue because the skills you’ll learn are transferable. Critical thinking, reading comprehension, writing, and communication are essential in pretty much any career field—not to mention in your personal life.

You have two paths to choose from when pursuing a degree in English at CUW. This program can be a standalone liberal arts degree, or a complementary major for those of you seeking a degree in secondary education. Both routes will allow you to explore the language, literature, and expression of the Western canon. In order to demonstrate your understanding of texts and ideas, you’ll be regularly asked to write analytically and creatively. Professors will motivate you to think critically about texts and consider them within a Christian context, applying their lessons to your day to day life.

Courses center around comprehending, expressing, and analyzing ideas (both others’ and your own), so the content is going to get deep. Get ready to read a wide range of authors, and be prepared to speak up and engage in high-level academic discourse with faculty and fellow students. You will continually be learning to better express yourself by studying how others have communicated their thoughts.

Why a Bachelor's Degree in Theological Studies? This program gives you options. If you simply want to study God’s Word for the sake of your personal growth, you’ll receive a solid foundation in doctrine. However, there is much more you will benefit from with a theology degree.

God reveals himself through his Word and, to a lesser degree, through his world. This program examines the Bible, God’s revealed Word, in broad introductory overviews of the Holy Scriptures (isagogics) as well as in close reading of a particular biblical book (exegetical studies). This program also studies God’s providence in history. In addition, students receive practical training in the application of their studies in ministry to others.

Through participation in, and upon completion of, the Bachelor of Arts in Theological Studies at Concordia University Wisconsin, students will:

• Have a greater understanding of God’s Word, the Holy Scriptures
• Appreciate the value of sound Christian doctrine based squarely on the Bible

You can expect to benefit from a well-rounded study of biblical and systematic theology, along with the application of theology in your life within the Christian Church. You’ll be delving into the Old and New Testaments, systematic doctrine, and practical theology (teaching and worship). We offer a lot (seriously, a LOT) of theology electives, so you can explore and grow in the particular areas that interest you.

The MPD Pharmaceutical program will provide the additional education and hands-on training that science majors need to secure jobs in the pharmaceutical product development industries; accordingly classes are taught in an applied manner.

You’ll apprentice with industry partners and learn in state-of-the-art analytical and pilot-scale labs (like the new hybrid classroom/cGMP lab on the Innovation Campus). In addition, you’ll be able to take advantage of networking and collaboration opportunities provided by the Interprofessional Education (IPE) program.

We’re here to teach you the skills you’ll need to pursue a career in pharmaceutical product development. While pursuing your MPD degree at CUW, you’ll get to:

Once you have your MBA in Accounting, you can pick your industry of choice based on what interests you the most. The important thing is that you’ll be a Certified Public Accountant (CPA). This program is designed to provide you with the skills necessary to sit for the national CPA exam. Among other business foundations, you’ll learn essential skills like advanced auditing, global production and operations, as well as systems management and design. And you’ll receive direct, one-on-one instruction from current professionals eager to give you the most practical experience you could ask for - so you’ll be prepared for the corporate world.

As a graduate of the program, you’ll not only have greater expertise in accounting, but you’ll also come out as a better leader with the skills to make strategic decisions. You’ll know how to manage fraud, be confident in handling advanced accounting issues, communicate clearly, and lead diverse groups of people. Plus, you’ll have the knowledge you need to become a CPA - so you can join the field a step ahead.

Let’s talk about the long term. Upon graduation you’ll have acquired the skills and knowledge and a year of practice experience to immediately enter into generalist professional practice. Each and every day chemistry is happening all around us. When you strike a match or munch your lunch, you’re triggering chemical reactions. We live, grow, and thrive thanks to chemistry. So if you have a natural curiosity and appreciation for what makes up God’s creation, you might find yourself most in your element pursuing a degree in this field.
The aim of Concordia’s program is to prepare you for a career in the chemical industry or to pursue graduate studies to earn a PhD, an MD, or a PharmD. Expect to be challenged on a regular basis. Our professors have designed a rigorous curriculum to help you advance as a scientist and develop analytic reasoning. CUW’s Chemistry program is approved by the American Chemical Society, an important distinction for any Chemistry program.

A significant portion of your studies will take place in our recently constructed laboratories, with state-of-the-art technology and equipment. Whenever possible, our faculty take a hands-on approach to learning, so you can expect to quickly become comfortable in a lab setting. You’ll gain a thorough foundation in the various areas within chemistry, including organic, inorganic, analytical, physical, and biochemistry. And CUW students aren’t limited to the required courses for developing their skills. If you have a particular area of interest, you have the opportunity to work one-on-one with a faculty member in conducting an undergraduate research project.

If you are ready to have a positive impact in your community and the world—perhaps a degree in public service is the right fit. You emerge with analytical skills, critical thinking skills, and go on to practice in organizations fostering service and commitment to serve local, national and international organizations.
This concentration emphasizes skills needed to inform your interests and expertise needed to lead justice-related organizations, namely corrections, courts, justice administration, law enforcement, and probation/parole.

If you’re going to be a defender of the law, it’s probably a good idea you study up on ethics. You’ll get plenty of that in this program, taking a look at ethical decision-making by criminal justice workers. You’ll also gain an introduction to a wide variety of other topics, like criminal psychology, as well as public policy and its effect on the American court and criminal justice system. You’ll have an opportunity to understand criminal investigation processes like interviewing, crime scene analysis, and collection of evidence. (Hint: CSI: Miami had it all wrong. Now, COPS, on the other hand …) You’ll study the law as it relates to arrests, searches, and seizures by law enforcement, probation and parole officers, and corrections officials. You’ll even study the rules of evidence and courtroom procedures.
There may not be a bat signal at the end of this program, but you’ll be thoroughly prepared for a career in court administration, security management, custodial and community-based corrections, intelligence operations, or investigations. Or maybe you’ll be more interested in municipal, state, or federal law enforcement. Or maybe state or federal probation and parole. Who knows? You could even use this degree as a good launching point for a bid at law school! Point is, you can expect this program to help you explore the incredibly exciting study of the courts, crime causation, criminal law, public policy, and the justice system.

Science aims to understand the incredible intricacies of God's creation. It all starts with a question, which leads to research, forming a hypothesis, testing the hypothesis, and analyzing and communicating the results, which often leads to new questions. This scientific inquiry is what leads to theories and laws that observe and describe the world around us.

In this program, you'll study everything that exists in the earth's environment, from the plants and animals to ecosystems and climate patterns, and how they all correlate. Two concentrations are available; ecology and environmental chemistry. Both tracks take a deep dive into a wide variety of scientific disciplines, with each specialization putting an extra emphasis on ecology or environmental chemistry respectively.

The environmental science major explores the physical, chemical, and biological properties and processes of our world. The program seeks to help students grow in the following six areas:

• Knowledge base: demonstrate an understanding of and an ability to explain major biological and related scientific concepts.
• Laboratory procedures: demonstrate the ability to appropriately collect and analyze data while utilizing laboratory equipment and procedures safely and effectively
• Scientific inquiry: develop investigative and critical thinking skills to explore complex questions and solve challenging scientific problems
• Scientific communication: demonstrate the ability to communicate scientific information effectively to both scientists and non-scientists using oral and written forms of expression
• Vocation and ethics: recognize how vocations in science provide opportunities for service to Christ and others and necessitate ethical behavior in all aspects of science
• God’s design and stewardship: demonstrate an understanding of how/why a Christian sees evidence of God’s design in nature and how to be good stewards of His creation
