The Geography program offers a distinctive curriculum that focuses on the study of human-environmental interaction and is premised upon a model of scientific education that integrates the natural/physical and social sciences. The program takes a place-based approach to this topic, seeking to understand in a holistic manner how cultural, political, economic, natural, and physical processes combine and interact to shape and re-shape landscapes, cities, regions, and nations through time.

The construction engineering and management bachelor of science offers the rigors of engineering problem-solving and design with business and management courses, coupled with construction engineering and management courses. Students receive an innovative interdisciplinary education that combines coursework in engineering, construction, business and architecture.

This four-year, 126-credit hour undergraduate BA program prepares students to apply for a Colorado teaching license in Elementary Education, kindergarten to grade six. Anthropology is the study of human origins and evolution, present conditions of human life, and future prospects. It considers human beings as biological and social entities, and seeks to explain both diversities and commonalities of peoples and cultures. For undergraduates, anthropology provides a rich overview of human life. It also introduces them to a variety of skills and practical research methods which anthropologists apply in laboratory and field studies of the ecological constraints on human existence, the cultural basis of individual and organizational behavior, and, in general, problems and circumstances relating to the maintenance of healthy, productive human action in the world today.

The major in anthropology begins with a set of introductory courses in archaeology, biological/physical anthropology, and cultural anthropology. These introductory courses are followed with upper division core courses in theory and method.

A student rounds out the major by taking any of the diverse elective courses offered by the department each semester.

The bachelor of science in business administration curriculum consists of 120 hours comprised of business classes and liberal arts classes to give you a well-rounded education.

Information Systems Specialization

The International Development concentration within the Bachelor of Arts in Public Administration (BAPA) degree program allows students to learn about the history of international development paradigms and understand the relationships among development actors and how they address persistent global problems such as poverty, human trafficking, trade, and human rights, as examples. International development explores economic growth, alleviating poverty, and improving living conditions in less developed countries.

The undergraduate degree in business administration allows students to tailor their degree to meet their interests and career goals by specializing in one of five emphases. You can do a lot with a business degree—from entrepreneurship, investment banking and real estate development to accounting, finance, marketing, even video game product management and more. Our business degree opens the door to many opportunities, providing students with real-world opportunities to apply their business education and connect with our global community of business partners. Accounting courses are offered in several fields of professional accountancy at the intermediate, advanced and graduate levels. 

The Environmental Policy and Management concentration within the Bachelor of Arts in Public Administration (BAPA) degree program allows students to study the laws, regulations, and policy mechanisms that the government and organisations use to manage environmental issues. Environmental policy balances protection, conservation, and sustainability of natural resources with affordable energy and economic growth while understanding how human activities affect the environment.

In this teacher education program, you will learn from nationally and internationally recognized faculty members who are known for innovation and research. Through the History department, you will garner the essential content and education theory needed to be an effective history teacher.
