The Veterinary Technology AS degree delivers a hands-on training program that is fully accredited by the American Veterinary Medical Association (AVMA) and can be completed in two years or five consecutive terms. Career opportunities include veterinary technician positions in private practices, humane societies, specialty veterinary medicine, zoo/wildlife medicine, agriculture, and biomedical research.

The HCC veterinary technology program has an articulation agreement with St Petersburg College (SPC) in which graduates from the HCC program can continue on for a BS in Veterinary Technology with SPCs on-line program.

The Psychology AA pathway is for students who plan to pursue a bachelor's degree in psychology at a college or university. This degree provides the lower division psychology major courses required at many universities while exposing students to the core principles and practices of the psychology field.

This degree enables students to develop a strong foundation in research methods, statistics and biological aspects of behavior, and will offer a variety of elective courses to help students develop their knowledge of human behavior, critical thinking, communication and problem-solving skills. Many university programs require the completion of specific courses prior to acceptance. It is the student's responsibility to contact the institution to ensure transferability.

The HCC Statistics Associate in Arts degree pathway is for students who wish to pursue a bachelor's degree in statistics or a related field at a four-year university. The AA pathway in Anthropology is for students who want to pursue a bachelor's degree in anthropology or a related field. Anthropology is the study of humans, past and present. To understand the full sweep and complexity of cultures across human history, anthropology draws and builds upon knowledge from the social and biological sciences as well as the humanities and physical sciences.

Courses in this track may be applied toward your degree at the institution where you plan to transfer. Students are advised to consult an advisor or counselor for general education and recommended courses/electives for this pathway.

The engineering AA pathway is for students who wish to pursue Bachelor's degrees in electrical, mechanical, civil, computer science, aerospace, nuclear, agricultural, industrial, and environmental engineering. Options in surveying and mapping, and materials design and testing are also available.

Careers include positions in the areas of design, testing, research, architecture, electronics, robotics, manufacturing, sales, construction management, and technical writing. The medical sciences pathway AA degree is ideal for students who wish to pursue Bachelor's degrees and/or professional programs in the dental, medical or veterinary fields. Depending upon your chosen degree, careers include dentist, physician, chiropractor, pharmacist, veterinarian and teacher, plus a variety of other jobs in related fields such as physical or occupational therapist, researcher and salesperson.

The Humanities AA pathway is for students who wish to pursue a bachelor's degree in Humanities or a related field. Humanities is an interdisciplinary program with coursework that covers a broad range of studies. The curriculum encourages students to broaden their world view by studying history, literature, fine arts, philosophy, and foreign languages.

The HCC Mathematics Associate in Arts degree pathway is for students who wish to pursue a bachelor's degree at a university in mathematics or a related field. The goal of the mathematics associates degree is to enhance students’ competence in the dynamic disciplines of mathematics and statistics, and includes coursework in college algebra, trigonometry and calculus I, II & III.
