The Veterinary Technology AS degree delivers a hands-on training program that is fully accredited by the American Veterinary Medical Association (AVMA) and can be completed in two years or five consecutive terms. Career opportunities include veterinary technician positions in private practices, humane societies, specialty veterinary medicine, zoo/wildlife medicine, agriculture, and biomedical research.

The HCC veterinary technology program has an articulation agreement with St Petersburg College (SPC) in which graduates from the HCC program can continue on for a BS in Veterinary Technology with SPCs on-line program.

The business administration and management AS degree prepares you to assume management or supervisory positions in business, industry and government. Learn basic skills in a broad range of business functions, including accounting, computer usage, management and marketing.

The Foreign Language AA pathway is for students who plan to transfer to a Florida public university as a junior to complete a bachelors’ degree with a major or minor in a Foreign Language.

This broad interdisciplinary approach can lead to a variety of career paths in government and international affairs, business, journalism, service professions, education, criminal justice, social sciences and public health.

The Liberal Arts & Sciences pathway is designed for students who want to pursue a bachelor's degree in a variety of fields. Depending upon the focus of study, careers are available in such fields as linguistics, criminal justice, history, ethnic studies, foreign language, social sciences, journalism and computer science.

The Psychology AA pathway is for students who plan to pursue a bachelor's degree in psychology at a college or university. This degree provides the lower division psychology major courses required at many universities while exposing students to the core principles and practices of the psychology field.

This degree enables students to develop a strong foundation in research methods, statistics and biological aspects of behavior, and will offer a variety of elective courses to help students develop their knowledge of human behavior, critical thinking, communication and problem-solving skills. The mass communications AA pathway degree is perfect for students seeking a Bachelor's degree in mass communications, journalism, advertising, public relations, education or telecommunications. Careers may include writing for various media, broadcasting, corporate communications, serving as governmental agency spokesperson, copywriting and other roles in advertising and public relations, video and audiovisual production and sales, or political lobbying.

The HCC Religious Studies Associate in Arts degree pathway is for students who wish to pursue a bachelor's degree in religion, theology or other religious studies. The broad nature of this pathway allows it to be appropriate for future studies in liberal arts programs, philosophy, and other humanities-directed disciplines.

• The dental AA pathway degree is for students who wish to pursue a Bachelor's degree toward a career in dentistry.

The engineering AA pathway is for students who wish to pursue Bachelor's degrees in electrical, mechanical, civil, computer science, aerospace, nuclear, agricultural, industrial, and environmental engineering. Options in surveying and mapping, and materials design and testing are also available.

Careers include positions in the areas of design, testing, research, architecture, electronics, robotics, manufacturing, sales, construction management, and technical writing.
