The pharmacy AA pathway degree is for students who want to pursue Bachelor's degrees in pharmacy. Pharmacists dispense medications prescribed by physicians as well as educate physicians and the public about proper drug usage. This pathway provides the courses and guiding principles to increase your chances for admission to pharmacy school.

For each pathway, IDS 2891 is a degree requirement, and for most of the pathways, SLS 1106 is required for first-time-in-college students. CGS 2100 may be able to be tested out for no credit. If you plan to earn a Bachelor's degree in education with the goal of becoming a teacher, the education teacher preparation AA pathway degree is designed for you. You must have a standard high school diploma or a GED to qualify for this program.

The HCC Statistics Associate in Arts degree pathway is for students who wish to pursue a bachelor's degree in statistics or a related field at a four-year university. The Psychology AA pathway is for students who plan to pursue a bachelor's degree in psychology at a college or university. This degree provides the lower division psychology major courses required at many universities while exposing students to the core principles and practices of the psychology field.

This degree enables students to develop a strong foundation in research methods, statistics and biological aspects of behavior, and will offer a variety of elective courses to help students develop their knowledge of human behavior, critical thinking, communication and problem-solving skills. The HCC Mathematics Associate in Arts degree pathway is for students who wish to pursue a bachelor's degree at a university in mathematics or a related field. The goal of the mathematics associates degree is to enhance students’ competence in the dynamic disciplines of mathematics and statistics, and includes coursework in college algebra, trigonometry and calculus I, II & III.

This pathway is for students who want to pursue a four-year degree in computer and information technology security.  Cybersecurity degrees lead to positions as a systems administrator, intelligence analyst, network engineer, information security manager, network security engineer, or information systems analyst.

The Political Science AA pathway is for students who want to pursue a bachelor's degree at a college or university in such fields as history, pre-law, political science, or international studies programs. The program is broadly designed to allow students to cater the major to their own interests; however, it is recommended that students meet with a full-time political science faculty member to discuss their program interests in their first semester at HCC.

The HCC Sociology Associate in Arts degree pathway is for students who wish to pursue a bachelor's degree in sociology or a related degree at a university. Sociology is the scientific study of human behavior in society. Sociology associate students will examine a wide range of human interactions, including marriage and family, crime and deviance, culture and social change, group processes and interactions having to do with class, race and gender; diversity and globalization, social stratification and mobility and social movements.

Program courses will help develop the student’s ability to examine the broader connections between personal life, public issues and social structure. This pathway is for students who want to pursue a four-year degree in sociology.

The engineering AA pathway is for students who wish to pursue Bachelor's degrees in electrical, mechanical, civil, computer science, aerospace, nuclear, agricultural, industrial, and environmental engineering. Options in surveying and mapping, and materials design and testing are also available.

Careers include positions in the areas of design, testing, research, architecture, electronics, robotics, manufacturing, sales, construction management, and technical writing. The AA pathway in Anthropology is for students who want to pursue a bachelor's degree in anthropology or a related field. Anthropology is the study of humans, past and present. To understand the full sweep and complexity of cultures across human history, anthropology draws and builds upon knowledge from the social and biological sciences as well as the humanities and physical sciences.

Courses in this track may be applied toward your degree at the institution where you plan to transfer. Students are advised to consult an advisor or counselor for general education and recommended courses/electives for this pathway.
