The Department of Construction Management maintains close ties to the construction/engineering/architecture industry and offers applied research opportunities. The program focuses on research and theory with a strong emphasis on project management. The curriculum design allows students to tailor a portion of the specialization requirements to meet individual interests and goals.

The Department of Microbiology, Immunology, and Pathology offers superior research programs with multi-disciplinary approaches and is home to some of the finest biomedical researchers in the nation, working in highly specialized laboratories. Master of Accountancy candidates will learn the skills and gain the confidence to secure competitive management positions and exciting accounting roles in public firms or in industry.  The program offers you an opportunity to study general accountancy or specialize in one of three areas: taxation, data analytics and systems; and financial analysis, auditing and reporting.  These specializations let you focus your learning and prepare you to conduct targeted technical research and data analysis.

The Natural Sciences major is geared to students who want to become high school or junior high and middle school science teachers as well as to students who want a broad exposure to mathematics and the physical sciences. Internships and volunteer activities provide practical training and experience. This major allows students to meet the requirements for Colorado teacher licensure upon graduation – including a semester of teaching – which prepares students to meet the demand for secondary science educators in Colorado and across the country.

The Bachelor of Science in Natural Sciences meets the needs of two audiences:

• Students who wish to become high school or junior high/middle school science teachers.
• Students who seek a broad exposure to mathematics and the physical sciences, rather than specialization in one discipline.

Our STEM-designated, Master of Finance program teaches how to apply quantitative methods to the complex discipline of finance with an emphasis on building job-ready skills.

This program is rigorous and practical featuring a comprehensive study of real-world corporate and investment risk measurement and management. You’ll become proficient in the theoretical principles, processes and practices of modern finance, and learn to apply them in real-world scenarios.

You’ll gain the ability to gather, assess and communicate financial data to guide business and investment decisions, and graduate prepared to sit for industry exams.

The Graduate Degree Program in Ecology (GDPE) is one of the leading programs in graduate ecology education in the U.S. and the world. We have an ongoing tradition of research excellence, publication and post-graduate placement.

Our unique interdisciplinary program allows students a variety of learning and networking opportunities. GDPE is jointly administered by CSU’s College of Agricultural Sciences, College of Natural Sciences, and the Warner College of Natural Resources to engage students with expert faculty across multiple departments. The major in Ecosystem Science and Sustainability provides a strong scientific foundation in ecosystem ecology integrated with a broad knowledge of the cultural, social, economic, and political issues that are shaping the issue of sustainability. Students in the major learn to integrate science into real-world decision making, with the goal of developing sustainable strategies to maintain ecosystem services around the globe. We provide students with a broad base of experiential and collaborative learning opportunities, opportunities for undergraduate research, and the latest scientific knowledge about sustainability science and how organisms interact with their environments to form complex ecosystems. Opportunities for research, internships, practical and group-based learning, and field experiences in the beautiful Rocky Mountains and around the world, combined with an outstanding classroom education, build a solid foundation for applying sustainable resource management principles.

Students in this track will have the opportunity to build networks with CSU’s Institute for Research in the Social Sciences, Geospatial Centroid, the Graybill Statistics and Data Science Laboratory, and others on campus who use political or social science data. Students in this track will be trained to pursue careers as data analysts, researchers, and consultants in government, non-profits, campaigns, advocacy groups, or the private sector.
