The growth and demand for highly trained, competent professionals in the dynamic field of finance is greater now than ever before. Our STEM-designated, Master of Finance program teaches how to apply quantitative methods to the complex discipline of finance with an emphasis on building job-ready skills.

This program is rigorous and practical featuring a comprehensive study of real-world corporate and investment risk measurement and management. You’ll become proficient in the theoretical principles, processes and practices of modern finance, and learn to apply them in real-world scenarios.

You’ll gain the ability to gather, assess and communicate financial data to guide business and investment decisions, and graduate prepared to sit for industry exams.

The Master of Social Work features an accredited, advanced generalist curriculum that will prepare you to become a social work practitioner in a variety of settings. You will learn to advance health and well-being, challenge inequities, and promote social justice and human rights for individuals and communities. The program is offered in a variety of formats including the standard two-year program, advanced standing for students who already hold a BSW, part-time hybrid options, and an MSW/MPH dual degree.

Performance - Concentration
CSU Theatre's Performance Concentration equips students with the skills needed to pursue a variety of fields related to their own creative and professional paths. Engaged with their passion and imagination, young performers receive rigorous training in text analysis, acting technique, movement, voice and speech, emotional expression, and critical thinking. In the process of understanding theatre, they make visceral connections between the physical, emotional, and scholarly as they harness their own stories and artistic vision.

The concentration emphasizes both the theoretical and practical aspects of theatre, and focuses on developing well-rounded, responsible artists, leaders, and communicators who value collaboration within an artistic community.

It’s no secret that knowing other languages opens doors to a world of opportunities. This major offers undergraduate instruction in 10 languages, concentrations in French, German and Spanish, and opportunities for education abroad. You’ll gain the ability to communicate in another tongue, but also to analyze literary texts and films, to understand the workings of language, to appreciate diversity and to interact successfully across cultures.

Spanish - Concentration
Courses include language, linguistics, translation, Latin American literatures and cultures, Peninsular literatures and cultures and Transatlantic studies. Students join the Spanish Club, El Centro, and study abroad.

The Department of Geosciences offers a Masters of Science degree and a Doctor of Philosophy degree. Completion of a graduate degree is excellent preparation for a career in governmental agencies, private industry, teaching, or research. The organization and innovation management concentration in the CSU College of Business refines your natural leadership skills. Through coursework taught by knowledgeable and engaging faculty, you’ll learn the skills you need to innovate, lead others and make informed and ethical decisions that advance both short- and long-term efforts.

The Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) in Music allows students to study music within a larger context of a liberal arts education. In comparison to the curriculum leading to the Bachelor of Music (B.M.), less emphasis is placed on studies specifically in music, with greater flexibility for studies in a field outside of music. In lieu of a larger number of credits in music as required for the B.M, the B.A. student completes a 21-credit option in an area outside of music. In addition, completion of a major paper or capstone recital (half recital) is required during the senior year.
