Organization and Innovation Management - Concentration
No matter the industry, no matter the business, managers play a key role in bringing diverse stakeholders and team members together to achieve common goals. From negotiating deadlines and budgets to overseeing projects and workgroups, management skills are integral to a variety of career paths.

The organization and innovation management concentration in the CSU College of Business refines your natural leadership skills. Through coursework taught by knowledgeable and engaging faculty, you’ll learn the skills you need to innovate, lead others and make informed and ethical decisions that advance both short- and long-term efforts.

The Graduate Degree Program in Ecology (GDPE) is one of the leading programs in graduate ecology education in the U.S. and the world. We have an ongoing tradition of research excellence, publication and post-graduate placement.

Our unique interdisciplinary program allows students a variety of learning and networking opportunities. GDPE is jointly administered by CSU’s College of Agricultural Sciences, College of Natural Sciences, and the Warner College of Natural Resources to engage students with expert faculty across multiple departments. As a Special Academic Unit within the university, GDPE offers a distinct graduate experience through both the breadth and depth of training that helps our graduates excel professionally.

The growth and demand for highly trained, competent professionals in the dynamic field of finance is greater now than ever before. Our STEM-designated, Master of Finance program teaches how to apply quantitative methods to the complex discipline of finance with an emphasis on building job-ready skills.

This program is rigorous and practical featuring a comprehensive study of real-world corporate and investment risk measurement and management. You’ll become proficient in the theoretical principles, processes and practices of modern finance, and learn to apply them in real-world scenarios.

You’ll gain the ability to gather, assess and communicate financial data to guide business and investment decisions, and graduate prepared to sit for industry exams.

Communication Studies majors receive a broad-based, liberal arts education, designed to equip them for the challenges of the 21st century, the need to adapt to a rapidly changing workplace, and the likelihood of more than one career. The major encompasses many facets of film and media studies, relational and organizational communication, and rhetoric and civic engagement. Along with courses in communication studies, the major requires courses in the arts and humanities, the social sciences, and history, and a minor or second major.

The department’s goals for undergraduate majors include helping students to achieve an outstanding education in communication studies, to further their knowledge and understanding of human communication, and to provide leadership in communication activities. In so doing, we hope to help students prepare for successful careers, the duties of citizenship, and productive and rewarding lives.

Our department offers a practical orientation to computer science; cutting-edge research; a congenial, award-winning faculty; and an active student population. Teaching and research areas in artificial intelligence, software engineering, networks and security, high performance computing, distributed systems, bioinformatics, computer vision, big data, and human-computer interaction.

The Department of Physics offers programs in physics and applied physics which lead to the Master of Science and the Doctor of Philosophy degrees. Our graduate students take part in active research, which gives them study opportunities at the forefront of physics.

Real Estate -  Concentration
Real estate professionals help find, provide, and manage physical spaces and coordinate across industries including architecture, construction, law, finance, marketing, property management, and urban development.
Take your natural interests and craft them into a lasting career. While studying real estate at the College of Business, you’ll learn from faculty who have years of real estate and financial experience. You’ll find specialized resources like the Everitt Real Estate Center and a suite of courses that account for the latest changes and best practices in the field of real estate.

It’s no secret that knowing other languages opens doors to a world of opportunities. This major offers undergraduate instruction in 10 languages, concentrations in French, German and Spanish, and opportunities for education abroad. You’ll gain the ability to communicate in another tongue, but also to analyze literary texts and films, to understand the workings of language, to appreciate diversity and to interact successfully across cultures.

French - Concentration
CSU French courses include language, linguistics, translation, and French and Francophone literatures and cultures. Opportunities to practice the language include French Club meetings and study abroad.

Begin your career in student affairs administration with a Master of Science in student affairs in higher education. You’ll be prepared for roles in a variety of education and service areas in postsecondary settings.

You’ll complete 45 credit hours in two years for full-time students or four years for part-time students. The curriculum has 7 learning outcome domains focused on:

You’ll engage in critical analysis, critical reflection and praxis, and transformative learning. Curriculum is organized according to four core course areas designed to meet the student affairs professional competencies developed by ACPA and NASPA, the two primary professional associations for student affairs educators.
