Environmental horticulturists provide solutions necessary to achieve aesthetically pleasing, functional, and environmentally sound outdoor spaces. They also design and manage private and public landscapes, such as golf courses, botanical gardens, and parks. In addition, they may develop the entrepreneurial skills necessary to successfully operate a nursery, garden center, tree care, landscape design, and build or landscape management firm. Three concentrations are offered in the Environmental Horticulture major— Landscape Design and Contracting, Nursery and Landscape Management, and Turf Management.

The Biomedical Sciences major centers around physiology, cellular and molecular biology, and human and animal anatomy. Throughout your studies, you’ll be encouraged to select elective courses and laboratory research in specialty areas of endocrinology, pharmacology, neurophysiology, reproductive physiology, and cardiopulmonary physiology in order to tailor your educational experiences to meet your career dreams.

The Business major encourages critical thinking while exploring modern management theories, relevant business practices, and current industry trends. You’ll discover your interests along the way and begin to focus your studies based on your interests and talents. Then you can choose from 10 concentrations to merge your academic focus with your career goals.

Organization and Innovation Management - Concentration
No matter the industry, no matter the business, managers play a key role in bringing diverse stakeholders and team members together to achieve common goals. From negotiating deadlines and budgets to overseeing projects and workgroups, management skills are integral to a variety of career paths.

The organization and innovation management concentration in the CSU College of Business refines your natural leadership skills. Through coursework taught by knowledgeable and engaging faculty, you’ll learn the skills you need to innovate, lead others and make informed and ethical decisions that advance both short- and long-term efforts.

We recognize that success in the arts is being redefined in the 21st century, and that the skills needed to be a successful artist extend beyond the studio, stage, and performance hall. This program is offered by the LEAP Institute for the Arts, a special academic unit of Colorado State University’s College of Liberal Arts.

The Master of Social Work features an accredited, advanced generalist curriculum that will prepare you to become a social work practitioner in a variety of settings. You will learn to advance health and well-being, challenge inequities, and promote social justice and human rights for individuals and communities. The program is offered in a variety of formats including the standard two-year program, advanced standing for students who already hold a BSW, part-time hybrid options, and an MSW/MPH dual degree.

The Master of Applied Statistics Statistical Science Specialization emphasizes the practical application of statistics. The innovative curriculum with 31 credits over 19 courses can be completed full-time in one year or part-time in two to four years. The program can be completed on-campus or online. This broad background in applied statistics will allow students to start working immediately as practicing statisticians upon graduation.
