Sustainability Studies
The BS program is for students interested in careers that take an engineering, technological or scientific approach to sustainability. Students in this program are required to take at least 23 credits of science and math.

Health informatics, one of the most high-demand sectors in information technology, is transforming the healthcare industry and improving the quality of patient care. The Master of Science (MS) in Health Informatics at Hofstra University is designed for aspiring and committed clinicians or IT professionals who want to add the value of an advanced expertise in health informatics to their careers. Students can pursue Bachelor of Arts in Africana Studies, and learn about the identities, history, geography, language, politics, economics, and cultural experience of the African people, as well as Black peoples in the Americas and Europe. Finance
Offered by the Department of Finance, the Master of Science in Finance offers advanced financial instruction that provides a strong conceptual understanding of finance and develops students' analytical abilities. Candidates come with interests in such areas as corporate finance, investments, international finance, and financial institutions. Students choose one of two concentrations: Financial and Risk Management or Investment Analysis.

The Bachelor of Science in Environmental Resources is the application of geology and the natural sciences to issues of environmental sustainability, natural resource management, resource development, and conservation. Mathematical Economics
Economics is woven into the fabric of our society. It is the engine that drives and shapes public policy, determining how individuals and families live and work, how business and industry operate – in short, how the world works. If you’re curious about people and human behavior, have an interest in history and political science, and enjoy the structure and reasoning of mathematical-style analysis, you’d do well majoring in economics.

The major concentration enables students to establish a strong base of specialized knowledge in one of the areas of study represented in the Zarb School of Business. This complements the skills in the various functional areas of business, as well as the professional leadership and management orientation.

The BA in Philosophy is a broad-based liberal arts degree that is good preparation for a wide range of careers including law, journalism, business, medicine, cognitive science, neuroscience, medicine, and computer science. Students pursuing this degree can pick up a minor or concentration that focuses on law, applied ethics, cognitive science or business.
