The Maurice A. Deane School of Law at Hofstra University established the LL.M. Program in Family Law in response to contemporary family law practice's increased demand for specialization and need for an interdisciplinary focus for resolving family issues. The only program of its kind in the eastern United States, and one of only three programs in the country, Hofstra Law's LL.M. Program in Family Law furthers Hofstra Law's commitment to developing skilled and compassionate family lawyers who have a thorough grounding in the issues central to the field - divorce, family violence, child custody, abuse, neglect, and support - as well as knowledge in related areas such as tax, contracts, real estate and partnership law, child psychology and treatment options.

Business Analytics

The program will provide a superior education to undergraduate students and prepare them for business analytics careers in business, government, healthcare, and other not-for-profit organizations. It also enhances the students' analytical thinking, skills, and practical experience in this field.

Hofstra's Bachelor of Science in Mathematics with an actuarial science option, or BS in Mathematical Finance can be the ideal starting point for those mathematics majors interested in applying their skills to a career in business and industry. You can also pursue a general mathematics degree, or a more specialized program that focuses on Mathematics with Science Applications.

This degree offers a broad-based program, with fewer major hours and more liberal arts elective hours.

Jazz & Commercial Music Concentration

Africana Studies
Students can pursue Bachelor of Arts in Africana Studies, and learn about the identities, history, geography, language, politics, economics, and cultural experience of the African people, as well as Black peoples in the Americas and Europe. Learn how Africa's natural resources are fueling the economies of the developing world.

Wondering how you can improve the well-being of entire communities? The growing field of community health gives you a deep understanding of how race, education, gender, and socioeconomic factors are connected to health inequities and social justice issues on the local, national, and global level.

Community Health majors learn about the biological, social, and behavioral factors affecting public health, and examine the ethical and legal issues in modern-day health care. You’ll study drug and alcohol abuse, the sexual health life cycle, and chronic and communicable diseases, and learn how to assess individual and community health needs so you can plan, implement, and evaluate community health programs.

The new BACHELOR OF SCIENCE IN COMPUTER SCIENCE AND CYBERSECURITY program is designed to produce graduates who are fully qualified as computer software and hardware developers, while at the same time, able to serve as information security officers, penetration testers, and network administrators. The program provides a solid foundation of computer science, emphasizing specifically the expertise in computing systems.
