Cybersecurity - Management and Policy Concentration
The Master of Science in Cybersecurity (Management and Policy Concentration) prepares students to manage and work with risk management and security policy development in order to protect networks and computer assets within an organization. This program will give students a deeper understanding of the technical aspects of cybersecurity; provide practical applications of risk management procedures in organizations; develop incident response plans for business continuity; design security structures for an organization and provide a legal framework for security policy. Potential career fields include: cybersecurity governance and policy; data protection and information security.

Take your place as an innovative leader in sports and recreation through the Master of Science in Sports Science at Hofstra University. Develop a design and implementation skill set for creating training programs that enhance athletic performance and reduce injuries. Choose from two concentrations: Strength and Conditioning, and Exercise Physiology. Apply what you learn in the classroom to the real world through fieldwork experiences. The BACHELOR OF SCIENCE IN COMPUTER SCIENCE is the largest program in the Department of Computer Science and offers a deep foundation in the main areas of computing. There are a wide range of available concentrations to pursue in fields such as cybersecurity, gaming and animation, web and mobile applications, plus flexible choices of technical electives.

Networking and Cybersecurity

The concentration in Networking and Cybersecurity is aimed at educating students in the growing field of cybersecurity.  Security of data and computer systems is one of the most important topics in today's online world. Any application or system must have ways to prevent and protect from cyber attacks, to allow secure access and protection of data stored in distributed locations accessible online. Courses in this concentration offer a hands-on approach to learning networking, security and systems programming. All courses include a significant experiential component.

If you have an innate curiosity about human behavior, social organization, and cultural diversity, Hofstra's BA in Anthropology may be the right program for you. In addition to our concentration in Archaeology, we are one of few schools in the New York metropolitan area to offer a minor in the emerging field of Food Studies.
