Film Studies and Production

Designed for the student who is interested in the creation and production of narrative or documentary feature or short films; you'll study writing, designing, directing, and editing films in traditional and digital formats.

Fine Arts

This degree is for students who may be interested in a double major in areas such as education, marketing, computer science, or film. Students have the option of a general fine arts degree, or a specialization in design, painting, or sculpture-industrial design.

Dream of helping people live longer, better lives through engineering? The growing field of bioengineering lets you apply engineering concepts to challenges that directly affect our health and well-being.

Bachelor of Science in Bioengineering students concentrate in one of three areas: Biomechanics, Bioelectricity, or Pre-Med. You'll first build a foundation in universal engineering theories, mathematics, and the physical and life sciences, before moving on to courses in your area of interest:

The BA in Geography with a specialization in Geographic Information Systems (GIS) provides general geography majors with a thorough grounding in this fast-growing, high-tech field.

Management majors not only hit the core business curriculum, but also dig into the theory and practice in human resources, organizational behavior, ethics, leadership, innovation, strategy and sustainability, and the intricacies of the supply chain. An INTO Hofstra Graduate Pathway program in Biology will prepare you to enter your next semester of a master’s degree program at Hofstra University. Upon successful completion of the Pathway program and meeting university requirements for graduate admission, you may enter your next semester of graduate study at Hofstra University. This transition from an INTO Hofstra program to a university degree program is called progression.

Biology
Our integrative biology graduate programs recognize that today's biology requires an approach that draws on studies from molecules to ecosystems, and therefore that our students need a broad range of experience and breadth of knowledge. Through course work and seminars, students learn how to integrate information from the various biology subdisciplines (molecular genetics to evolution) and levels (sub-cellular to biospheric) in order to understand and ask fundamental questions about cells, organisms, species, and ecology. Graduates with master's degrees pursue professional degrees in the health sciences, continue graduate work at the doctoral level, and find employment as marine, wildlife, and ecology specialists and educators for governmental and nongovernmental organizations and as lab technicians for hospitals and in industry.

Biochemistry prepares students to pursue advanced degrees in forensic science, biochemistry, chemistry, pharmacology, neuroscience, and molecular biology, as well as for medical, dental, and pharmacy schools, and physician assistant programs.
