Biomedical Option

Bioengineering is designed to bridge the gap between the life sciences and physical sciences by applying engineering concepts, methods, and techniques to biology and medicine. An understanding of fundamental physiological processes using engineering methodology requires a broad background in basic engineering, sciences, and mathematics. Biomedical engineers may design instruments, devices, and software; bring together knowledge from many technical sources to develop new procedures; or conduct research needed to solve clinical problems. Labor studies offers students a broad background in the multiple perspectives on – and different analytical approaches to – job and pay issues in an international context.

Learn how to question and analyze the social, legal, political, historical, and economic factors that influence the media industry -- and apply this in-depth knowledge to a variety of career paths or advance study in fields such as law, management, politics, and education.
