The major concentration enables students to establish a strong base of specialized knowledge in one of the areas of study represented in the Zarb School of Business. The BACHELOR of SCIENCE in COMPUTER ENGINEERING program is concerned with the design of hardware and software for computing devices and systems. Computer Engineering students take a rigorous set of courses in hardware and software related topics. Graduates with a degree in computer engineering typically secure jobs that involve the design of embedded systems, mobile devices, automotive sensing and control systems and biomedical devices to name a few. They are also capable of working in software roles such as software engineering and web and mobile development.

Networking and Cybersecurity

The concentration in Networking and Cybersecurity is aimed at educating students in the growing field of cybersecurity.  Security of data and computer systems is one of the most important topics in today's online world. Any application or system must have ways to prevent and protect from cyber attacks, to allow secure access and protection of data stored in distributed locations accessible online. Courses in this concentration offer a hands-on approach to learning networking, security and systems programming. All courses include a significant experiential component.

Offered by the Department of Finance, the Master of Science in Finance offers advanced financial instruction that provides a strong conceptual understanding of finance and develops students' analytical abilities. Candidates come with interests in such areas as corporate finance, investments, international finance, and financial institutions. Students choose one of two concentrations: Financial and Risk Management or Investment Analysis.

Computer Science

The BACHELOR OF ARTS IN COMPUTER SCIENCE gives students a solid foundation in computer science. Fewer required courses in the major and more electives allow students to pursue minors and a second major in other departments. Students may pursue a general track or an individual track that has a sequence of two independent study courses specially designed in collaboration with a faculty member.

The MS in Cybersecurity (Technology Concentration) is intended for students who wish to obtain both technical and managerial skills in the area of security and privacy for enterprise data, systems and networks. Graduates of the concentration will be able to be:

• Design and implement software and protocols for building secure computational systems.
• Evaluate security architectures to reduce the risk of cyber-attacks, limit damage from intrusion, and recover rapidly from them.
• Create and use effective tools for security operations, security engineering, and vulnerability management.

Pre-Medical Studies
The Bachelor of Science in Pre-Medical Studies is an interdisciplinary degree for those students who are interested primarily in science. This degree includes all science, mathematics, and statistics courses required for entrance into medical, dental, or veterinary school, as well as more advanced and specialized work in the sciences that is of particular relevance to students planning a professional career in health-related sciences. Incorporation of all of the biology and chemistry pre-requisite courses into the requirements for this interdisciplinary degree enables students to simultaneously pursue other academic interests in addition to the sciences. As a BS degree, this program has reduced general education requirements and no language requirement.

Music History and Literature Concentration
