Management
This is a versatile degree that prepares you for many types of leadership roles in the public or private sector. It's also a great foundation for graduate school.

Management majors not only hit the core business curriculum, but also dig into the theory and practice in human resources, organizational behavior, ethics, leadership, innovation, strategy and sustainability, and the intricacies of the supply chain. Hofstra offers majors in Management and Supply Chain Management. Two management degrees allowing you to choose your own path. In addition, we offer minors in Management; Supply Chain Management; Entrepreneurship; Human Resource Management; and General Business

The BA program looks at sustainability through a liberal arts lens. This degree has more freedom to choose electives than the BS program since there are less science and math courses required. It is designed for students who aspire to work in public policy, law, urban planning, community development or business.

The BS in Mathematics is appropriate for students planning graduate studies in mathematics or professional pursuits in the field of mathematics. The BACHELOR OF ARTS IN COMPUTER SCIENCE gives students a solid foundation in computer science. Fewer required courses in the major and more electives allow students to pursue minors and a second major in other departments. Students may pursue a general track or an individual track that has a sequence of two independent study courses specially designed in collaboration with a faculty member.

American Studies

American Studies at Hofstra University is an interdisciplinary program for undergraduates looking forward to graduate work and careers in public service, law, higher education, and other fields associated with the social sciences and humanities.

The American Studies program is intensive and extensive; intensive because America is the focus of the program, and extensive because students become proficient in many academic disciplines. Courses in English, history, philosophy, and political science are all integral to the program

Latin American and Caribbean Studies
Latin American and Caribbean Studies (LACS) offers a wide array of courses on Latin America, the Caribbean, and related diasporas in the United States. This interdisciplinary program features courses from departments throughout the University, and it also offers senior seminars and opportunities for independent coursework and study abroad.

A LACS major or minor would be an asset to any student planning a career in business, law, communications, travel, government, nongovernment agencies, environmental organizations, and other areas.

This degree offers a broad-based program, with fewer major hours and more liberal arts elective hours.

Jazz & Commercial Music Concentration
This concentration provides a musical environment that helps prepare students for a performing career in today’s diverse world of professional music. It builds knowledge of composition, arranging, improvisation, technology, history, and business.
