The Bachelor of Science in Environmental Resources is the application of geology and the natural sciences to issues of environmental sustainability, natural resource management, resource development, and conservation. Hofstra's International Business program integrates the social, cultural, political, legal, ethical, technological, geographic, environmental, and economic factors that play a role when conducting business abroad.

The BFA in Dance Performance is for students who want to immerse themselves in a more intensive program, leading to careers in performance and choreography. The focus is on developing technical proficiency in traditional and contemporary styles of dance. An audition is required for admission, as well as a personal interview with dance faculty.

Computer Science

The BACHELOR OF SCIENCE IN COMPUTER SCIENCE is the largest program in the Department of Computer Science and offers a deep foundation in the main areas of computing. There are a wide range of available concentrations to pursue in fields such as cybersecurity, gaming and animation, web and mobile applications, plus flexible choices of technical electives.

Sustainability Studies
The BA program looks at sustainability through a liberal arts lens. This degree has more freedom to choose electives than the BS program since there are less science and math courses required. It is designed for students who aspire to work in public policy, law, urban planning, community development or business.

Anthropology
If you have an innate curiosity about human behavior, social organization, and cultural diversity, Hofstra's BA in Anthropology may be the right program for you. In addition to our concentration in Archaeology, we are one of few schools in the New York metropolitan area to offer a minor in the emerging field of Food Studies.

Management majors not only hit the core business curriculum, but also dig into the theory and practice in human resources, organizational behavior, ethics, leadership, innovation, strategy and sustainability, and the intricacies of the supply chain. Hofstra offers majors in Management and Supply Chain Management. Two management degrees allowing you to choose your own path. In addition, we offer minors in Management; Supply Chain Management; Entrepreneurship; Human Resource Management; and General Business

Bioengineering is designed to bridge the gap between the life sciences and physical sciences by applying engineering concepts, methods, and techniques to biology and medicine. An understanding of fundamental physiological processes using engineering methodology requires a broad background in basic engineering, sciences, and mathematics. Biomedical engineers may design instruments, devices, and software; bring together knowledge from many technical sources to develop new procedures; or conduct research needed to solve clinical problems. In industry, they may create products that require an in-depth understanding of living systems and technology. They frequently work in research and development or in quality assurance.

An INTO Hofstra Graduate Pathway program in Accounting will prepare you to enter your next semester of a master’s degree program at Hofstra University. Accounting
In most states, candidates for the CPA examination are required to have completed 150 semester hours of course work in order to be eligible for licensure. New York state currently requires 69 s.h. in business, of which 33 must be in accounting. This program, which is offered by the Department of Accounting, Taxation and Legal Studies in Business, should enable students who have taken 39 undergraduate credits in business from an accredited institution, including at least six credits in accounting, to meet this requirement. Students without the equivalent of 39 credits in business are advised to consider the MBA in Professional Accountancy, which will satisfy all educational eligibility requirements for licensure. Students are advised to check with other state boards of accountancy for eligibility requirements outside of New York state.

Engineering Science - Civil
Civil engineers design and supervise large construction projects, including roads, buildings, airports, tunnels, dams, bridges, and systems for water supply and sewage treatment. Many civil engineers hold supervisory or administrative positions ranging from supervisor of a construction site to city engineer. Others work in design, construction, research, and teaching.
