Students in the Bachelor of Arts in Mass Media Studies program pursue one of three concentrations:

If you have an innate curiosity about human behavior, social organization, and cultural diversity, Hofstra's BA in Anthropology may be the right program for you. In addition to our concentration in Archaeology, we are one of few schools in the New York metropolitan area to offer a minor in the emerging field of Food Studies.

Bachelor of Science in Bioengineering students concentrate in one of three areas: Biomechanics, Bioelectricity, or Pre-Med. You'll first build a foundation in universal engineering theories, mathematics, and the physical and life sciences, before moving on to courses in your area of interest:

The BACHELOR OF SCIENCE IN COMPUTER SCIENCE is the largest program in the Department of Computer Science and offers a deep foundation in the main areas of computing. Classical Languages and Literatures

The concentration in Classical Languages and Literatures emphasizes language training in ancient Greek and/or Latin and provides the student with a strong background in classical literature and in related areas of study within classics – for example, ancient history, philosophy, art history, and the religious traditions of Greece and Rome and early Christianity.

The criminology program’s objective is to provide students with sound methodological and analytic skills, leading to critical understanding of criminal behavior and the operation of the criminal justice system.
