Psychology
The major in Psychology requires a capstone experience, which provides students with challenging opportunities to apply their knowledge of psychology to research, teaching, or practice endeavors. The Department of Psychology has also established an extensive internship program that gives students opportunities to apply their knowledge in a work setting in the local community. The Research Apprenticeship Program, Undergraduate Teaching Assistantship Program, and Internship Program are designed to give students practical experiences beyond their academic coursework.

Studio Arts Drawing
The Wonsook Kim School of Art offers a comprehensive list of sequence options for a student interested in Studio Arts. The following are offered as areas of specialization: Ceramics, Drawing, Expanded Media, Glass, Printmaking, Painting, Photography, Sculpture, Video, and Wood / Metal Design.

Following a first year foundations curriculum, students can choose a sequence within an individual studio. Within each sequence, faculty are actively engaged in introducing students to various technical skills and ideas specific to that discipline. The cohesive sequencing of courses within each studio area allows the student to build skills and knowledge towards a highly sophisticated level of work in that field of exploration.

Biomechanics is the study of forces and their effects on living systems.

The graduate program studies how biomechanics relate to performance enhancement and injury prevention. Students apply what they learn and serve as movement analysts in sports and workplaces. At the end of the program, they complete a thesis, independent study, or professional practice.

Depending on individual career aspirations, completion of the Biomechanics sequence prepares a student for future study at the doctoral level, for employment as a research assistant with a corporate entity, or to serve as a member of a workplace safety team.

The students, faculty, and post-doctoral fellows that comprise the Behavior, Ecology, Evolution, and Systematics (BEES) section focus on research questions that range widely over the disciplines of ecology, evolution, behavior, physiology, and systematics. We emphasize an integrative, collaborative approach to research not only among the members of the BEES section, but also with members of the other sections in the School and with faculty and students at other universities.

Research within the BEES is conducted across different levels of biological organization, from genes to individuals, populations to communities. We address fundamental questions concerning the nature of evolutionary change, interactions between organisms and their environment, the distribution and abundance of living things, and the conservation of organisms and restoration of their ecosystems.
