Marketing - Integrated Marketing CommunicationThe Integrated Marketing Communication sequence allows students to focus on the coordination of all aspects of marketing communication such as advertising, sales promotion, public relations, and direct marketing, in an effort to provide a consistent message to consumers. Students complete three required courses in marketing and two required and three elective courses in integrated marketing communication.

Not only are a significant number of marketing students interested in the IMC fields, the area offers a wide range of professional opportunities, with strong growth projections. The Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS) predicts 12 percent job growth for marketing managers from 2012 to 2022. The median salary for marketing managers was $127,130 in 2014, according to the BLS.

Language coursework prepares students to achieve Advanced-Low or higher proficiency, an endeavor supported by study abroad programs in Chile, Panama, and Spain. Students develop technological literacy through coursework and experiences with robotics, electronics, biotechnologies, manufacturing computer-aided design (CAD), and more. This program is ideal for those who like to solve problems, work with their hands, and want to work with school-aged children.

The Business Information Systems (BIS) curriculum provides a foundation for students to develop deeper expertise in business information systems activities. The BIS program is intended for those students who wish to move from entry-level jobs to top-level positions where the student would use a combination of business and technical knowledge to lead the design and development of leading-edge enterprise solutions, and maintaining business solutions at the enterprise level.

Agriculture - Food Industry Management
Food Industry Management sequence prepares students for careers in management in food industry. Food Industry Management graduates work as sales representatives, commodity merchandisers, market analysts, supply chain managers for retail food companies, agricultural business organizations, market research firms, government agencies, and financial institutions.

FDM courses include Textiles, Fashion Trend and Industry Analysis, Advanced Textiles, Clothing and Behavior, Economics of Fashion, Apparel Product Development, Apparel Product Analysis, and Fashion Promotion. Within the FDM program, you can select from two different emphasis options:

• The Fashion Merchandising option which includes additional courses in retail buying
• The Fashion Design and Product Development option which includes additional courses in draping and flat pattern making

As an FDM student, you'll also have the opportunity to participate in study tours both inside and outside the United States. Students have visited corporate offices and manufacturers from New York City to California, as well as in Europe and Asia.
