The primary objective of the Master of Science in Accountancy program is to provide candidates preparing for professional careers in accounting a greater breadth and depth in accounting education than is possible in a baccalaureate or Master of Business Administration program.

The degree builds upon the broad framework of the undergraduate degree in accounting. Graduate accounting courses emphasize study of current accounting literature, critical thinking, case studies, accounting theory, and written and oral communication. Class sizes are designed to be small to encourage interaction between the professor and each student.

Mathematics Teacher Education
As a student in the Mathematics Education program at Illinois State University, you will be challenged, tested, supported, and you will be rewarded.

Marketing - Advanced Marketing Analytics
The Marketing faculty have designed the Advanced Marketing Analytics (AMA) sequence to allow Marketing majors to concentrate their coursework in preparation for marketing roles that may require more analytical rigor which has become prevalent. The use of analytics is expected to grow rapidly. Students complete three required courses in Business Analytics or Business Intelligence and Introduction to Marketing Analytics and Advanced Marketing Analytics. Students also complete three electives in areas such as Brand Management & Analytics, Sales Forecasting, and others.

Music - Music Composition
The Master of Music in Composition prepares student to build their portfolio in preparation to pursue a Ph.D.Entering master's students typically have an undergraduate degree in Composition and have a varied portfolio of several works for different types of ensembles or media.
Opportunities for composition students include:

• RED NOTE New Music Festival, a week of new music events by visiting
• composers and ensembles from around the country
• Exclusive reading sessions for ISU composition students during RED NOTE from nationally prominent ensembles.
• Annual large ensemble readings with both the Illinois State University Wind Symphony and
• the Illinois State University Symphony Orchestra with the opportunity for select pieces to be chosen for performance.
• Chamber concerts of new student works each semester.
• Private lessons with faculty and nationally recognized guest composers.
• Frequent performances by students, faculty, and guest artists. Recent guest performers have included the Boston Brass, the Jupiter String Quartet, and violinist Rachel Barton Pine.

The Human Development and Family Science (HDFS) major prepares students to provide educational, preventive and intervention services to individuals and families which enhance personal, family and community well-being. The Agribusiness sequence includes courses in agriculture, agribusiness, economics and business. Graduates find career opportunities in sales, finance, grain and livestock marketing, farm management, food industry management and the commodity futures industry. Students graduating in this sequence with the combination of business, science and applied agriculture courses are sought after and valuable employees in the agricultural industry.

The basic curriculum is designed to thoroughly acquaint Marketing majors with the broad field of marketing and to allow focused study in narrower subfields, depending upon the students' interests and aptitudes. Students may choose Marketing electives from one or more of the following six career-track concentrations: Advertising/Promotion, Business/Industrial Marketing, Marketing Research, Retailing/Distribution, Selling/Sales Management, and Services Marketing.

Hydrogeology
Hydrogeology at Illinois State knows the important role hydrogeologists play in the environment. That’s why our program focuses only on the field of hydrogeology. This ensures you get all the tools you need for a successful career in the private sector, government, or academia.

You’ll conduct research that makes a real, positive impact. Our broad view of hydrogeology means you can explore your interests in the hydrologic cycle. Some recent research projects include:

• Surface water-groundwater interaction
• Nutrient cycling
• Impacts of humans and global change in hydrologic and water resource systems
• Flow in karst systems
• Sediment transport

Our core curriculum lets you claim the title of hydrogeologist when you graduate. You’ll be able to work in a variety of areas all over the world, such as the private sector, government, or higher education.
