Clients include people who have a disability, injury, illness or other health condition. Using play and other activities, therapists create a healthy physical and social environment.

Students in this major use theory in the classroom and the real world by completing two internships. The major also offers opportunities to attend conferences, participate in clubs, and study abroad. These activities help students develop a professional network.

Faculty in therapeutic recreation have awards for teaching, research, and service. They also conduct and publish research as well as write industry-leading textbooks.

Within each sequence, faculty are actively engaged in introducing students to various technical skills and ideas specific to that discipline. The cohesive sequencing of courses within each studio area allows the student to build skills and knowledge towards a highly sophisticated level of work in that field of exploration.

Economics - Financial Economics
The Financial Economics sequence provides students training in the financial theory of the firm, financial markets and institutions to complement their training in applied economics analysis. It is designed for students who have an interest in employment opportunities in the financial sector such as investment and commercial banks, economic and financial asset management companies, and consulting firms, or who are interested in pursuing a Ph.D. degree.

This is a STEM designated degree, which focuses on the systematic study of mathematical and statistical analysis of economic phenomena and problems. STEM designated degree programs offer additional benefits for students, including potential grant funded opportunities and, for international students, extended OPT study options.

The Geology program at Illinois State gives you a strong foundation and awareness of these processes. Our traditional approach to teaching prepares you for graduate school or a career. Once you complete our program, you can get licensed and begin a career in the environmental, energy, and minerals industries.

The College Student Personnel Administration (CSPA) master's degree program provides students with the practical and theoretical knowledge necessary to enable them to perform the roles of administrator, advisor, and programmer in student affairs and higher education administration. After completing the program, a master's graduate will have acquired the skills, knowledge, values, and commitment necessary to succeed at entry- to mid-level student affairs positions in public and private colleges and universities.

Students in the program reflect the increasing diversity of today's college campuses with respect to race, ethnicity, orientation, gender, and age. The College Student Personnel Administration program includes students who are recent graduates, career enhancers, and persons seeking a career change. Full-time enrollment is preferred and recommended, yet the program is flexible enough for those students who wish to attend part-time.

Marketing - Advanced Marketing Analytics
The Marketing faculty have designed the Advanced Marketing Analytics (AMA) sequence to allow Marketing majors to concentrate their coursework in preparation for marketing roles that may require more analytical rigor which has become prevalent. The use of analytics is expected to grow rapidly. Students complete three required courses in Business Analytics or Business Intelligence and Introduction to Marketing Analytics and Advanced Marketing Analytics. Students also complete three electives in areas such as Brand Management & Analytics, Sales Forecasting, and others.

Majors selecting this sequence will receive broad training in Zoology, including coursework related to organismal and functional aspects of Zoology.

This highly flexible sequence is designed for students seeking careers that involve working with animals of any kind. This sequence will also prepare students for graduate studies in Zoology and related fields (e.g., entomology, physiology, wildlife biology, animal ecology). With additional coursework, students can meet the requirements to apply to veterinary and health professional schools.

Students in the Animal Industry Management sequence generally seek a curriculum balanced between animal science and agricultural business. This program is suggested for students seeking careers in animal production, animal product sales, and agribusinesses with an animal emphasis.

The basic curriculum is designed to thoroughly acquaint Marketing majors with the broad field of marketing and to allow focused study in narrower subfields, depending upon the students' interests and aptitudes. Students may choose Marketing electives from one or more of the following six career-track concentrations: Advertising/Promotion, Business/Industrial Marketing, Marketing Research, Retailing/Distribution, Selling/Sales Management, and Services Marketing.
