Studio Arts Glass
The Wonsook Kim School of Art offers a comprehensive list of sequence options for a student interested in Studio Arts. The following are offered as areas of specialization: Ceramics, Drawing, Expanded Media, Glass, Printmaking, Painting, Photography, Sculpture, Video, and Wood / Metal Design.

Following a first year foundations curriculum, students can choose a sequence within an individual studio. Within each sequence, faculty are actively engaged in introducing students to various technical skills and ideas specific to that discipline. English - Creative Writing
The Creative Writing sequence in the English major has a distinguished national reputation for encouraging alternative and hybrid forms of writing while emphasizing the study of theory and Creative Writing pedagogy.

The Creative Writing program respects and encourages innovation. Students have the opportunity to develop their talents by focusing on Creative Writing courses in their genre of choice: fiction, nonfiction, poetry, or a combination. They will study literature from a diverse standpoint while learning how literary artists utilize literary theory and aesthetics.

The sequence helps students advance in their writing apprenticeships and broaden their understanding of their genre through both artistic and scholarly lenses. It encourages reading in literature generally and provides an opportunity to study language and linguistics, which enhances a student's understanding of their fundamental tools.

The Communication Studies - Organizational and Leadership Communication sequence enhances communication knowledge, understanding, and skills for enhancing organizational relationships. The goal of this sequence is to equip the student to successfully use communication as a tool to enhance organizational outcomes. The basic curriculum is designed to thoroughly acquaint Marketing majors with the broad field of marketing and to allow focused study in narrower subfields, depending upon the students' interests and aptitudes. Students may choose Marketing electives from one or more of the following six career-track concentrations: Advertising/Promotion, Business/Industrial Marketing, Marketing Research, Retailing/Distribution, Selling/Sales Management, and Services Marketing.

You’ll learn about the power of social structures, how decisions get made, and how social movements gain traction. We also take a close look at cultures, diversity, and inclusion.

Most of our students do not become Sociologists. Instead, you can find them doing important work in non-profits, law enforcement, business, health care, and more.
