The primary objective of the Master of Science in Accountancy program is to provide candidates preparing for professional careers in accounting a greater breadth and depth in accounting education than is possible in a baccalaureate or Master of Business Administration program.

Graduate accounting courses emphasize study of current accounting literature, critical thinking, case studies, accounting theory, and written and oral communication. Class sizes are designed to be small to encourage interaction between the professor and each student.

The cohesive sequencing of courses within each studio area allows the student to build skills and knowledge towards a highly sophisticated level of work in that field of exploration.

Illinois State's award-winning and nationally recognized Spanish Teacher Education major prepares graduates for K-12 teaching, while offering a dynamic interdisciplinary approach for exploring the diverse Spanish-speaking world.

Language coursework prepares students to achieve Advanced-Low or higher proficiency, an endeavor supported by study abroad programs in Chile, Panama, and Spain. Award-winning co-curricular activities, carried out by the Spanish Club and the Sigma Delta Pi (National Collegiate Spanish Honor Society), also help students develop their speaking skills and learn more about Spanish-speaking communities.

Theatre - Design/Production
Welcome to the Production Design and Technology sequence at Illinois State University's School of Theatre and Dance! This is where your talent and skills turn into magic on stage. You will create exciting theatrical environments filled with costumes, scenery, lights and sound. We in the production and design technology sequence make it happen in our shops, in the rehearsal hall, and in the classroom. Marketing - Integrated Marketing CommunicationThe Integrated Marketing Communication sequence allows students to focus on the coordination of all aspects of marketing communication such as advertising, sales promotion, public relations, and direct marketing, in an effort to provide a consistent message to consumers. Students complete three required courses in marketing and two required and three elective courses in integrated marketing communication.

Not only are a significant number of marketing students interested in the IMC fields, the area offers a wide range of professional opportunities, with strong growth projections. The Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS) predicts 12 percent job growth for marketing managers from 2012 to 2022. The median salary for marketing managers was $127,130 in 2014, according to the BLS.

German Teacher Education
Our nationally accredited German Teacher Education major prepares graduates for K-12 teaching while offering a dynamic interdisciplinary approach for exploring the German-speaking world.

You'll have the opportunity to study literature, examine fairy tales or popular song texts, and learn about the latest developments in the European Union. German coursework prepares students to achieve Advanced-Low or higher proficiency, an endeavor supported by study abroad programs in Paderborn or Bonn, Germany. Co-curricular activities, carried out by the German Club and the German Honor Society, also help students develop their speaking skills and learn more about German-speaking communities.
