Theatre - Design/Production
Welcome to the Production Design and Technology sequence at Illinois State University's School of Theatre and Dance! This is where your talent and skills turn into magic on stage. You will create exciting theatrical environments filled with costumes, scenery, lights and sound. We in the production and design technology sequence make it happen in our shops, in the rehearsal hall, and in the classroom. You will have hands-on opportunities to practice your chosen craft and experiment with others you never dreamed of mastering. The Public Relations major prepares students to research, plan, execute, and evaluate communication between an organization and its publics, monitor the organization's environment, and counsel management on policies and programs. The major is designed to prepare students to help private industry and public organizations improve the quality of communication among themselves, their employees, the general public and government.

Marketing - Advanced Marketing Analytics
The Marketing faculty have designed the Advanced Marketing Analytics (AMA) sequence to allow Marketing majors to concentrate their coursework in preparation for marketing roles that may require more analytical rigor which has become prevalent. The use of analytics is expected to grow rapidly. Students complete three required courses in Business Analytics or Business Intelligence and Introduction to Marketing Analytics and Advanced Marketing Analytics. Students also complete three electives in areas such as Brand Management & Analytics, Sales Forecasting, and others.

Accountancy
The primary objective of the Master of Science in Accountancy program is to provide candidates preparing for professional careers in accounting a greater breadth and depth in accounting education than is possible in a baccalaureate or Master of Business Administration program.

The degree builds upon the broad framework of the undergraduate degree in accounting. Graduate accounting courses emphasize study of current accounting literature, critical thinking, case studies, accounting theory, and written and oral communication. Class sizes are designed to be small to encourage interaction between the professor and each student.

Global Politics is a 32-hour sequence of the master's degree in Political Science. This graduate program is designed for students interested in the increasingly interconnected politics of the modern world.

The Global Politics sequence ends in a thesis or comprehensive examination.

Creative Technologies
The Master of Science in Creative Technologies is a 39-hour interdisciplinary program in the Wonsook Kim College of Fine Arts that emphasizes theory, design, and practice in the application of computer technology to traditional art, music, and theatre disciplines with an emphasis on interactive media, sound design, digital music, and computer coding for arts applications.

The program provides critical training and experiences that prepare graduates for careers in digital and interactive media production including: front-end web development; video production; sound design for live performance, broadcast, and multimedia; digital music composition and production; and emerging arts disciplines where basic knowledge of coding is required. Graduates work for employers of all types including small businesses, government agencies, and corporations; and some are self-employed entrepreneurs.

The program is appropriate for students who have training in the arts, experience working with digital and interactive communication tools, or computer science with experience in the arts and interactive media. Many students have established careers in related fields and wish to enhance their knowledge of new technical tools and creative processes.

Political Science

The Accounting - Financial Accounting sequence prepares students for positions in public accounting, managerial accounting, governmental accounting, taxation, and auditing. This sequence is designed to meet the minimum formal accounting-content requirements to sit for the Certified Public Accountant (CPA) examination.

Studio Arts Video
The Wonsook Kim School of Art offers a comprehensive list of sequence options for a student interested in Studio Arts. The following are offered as areas of specialization: Ceramics, Drawing, Expanded Media, Glass, Printmaking, Painting, Photography, Sculpture, Video, and Wood / Metal Design.

Following a first year foundations curriculum, students can choose a sequence within an individual studio. Within each sequence, faculty are actively engaged in introducing students to various technical skills and ideas specific to that discipline. The cohesive sequencing of courses within each studio area allows the student to build skills and knowledge towards a highly sophisticated level of work in that field of exploration.
