Zoology
Zoology is an interdisciplinary biological sciences degree that focuses on all aspects of the biology of animals – from genes to ecosystems. In particular, the zoology coursework covers major areas of the life sciences including genetics, physiology, ecology, evolution and conservation biology. Natural Resources
Oregon State University's natural resources undergraduate degree program will provide you technical skills and scientific knowledge that spans various natural resources and social science disciplines. As a natural resources major, you will study the science and management of resources such as fish and wildlife, forests, range and water, as well as the development of sustainable environmental policies and human dimensions of natural resources. You will learn to solve complex environmental problems through an interdisciplinary approach. Manufacturing Engineering
The MfgE program lays the foundation for being a successful engineer. Along with an introductory industrial and manufacturing engineering course, you'll take courses in basic engineering science, math and statistics, chemistry and physics, and oral and written communication. The junior & senior year of your OSU MfgE education focuses on strengthening and extending your discipline-specific knowledge and experience. Core coursework in MfgE includes manufacturing materials and processes, production engineering, production planning and control, computer aided design and manufacturing, design of mechanical devises and work systems, lean manufacturing systems engineering, thermal–fluid sciences, design on experiments, simulation, and statistical quality control.

The College of Pharmacy at Oregon State University offers a research-oriented graduate study program in pharmaceutical sciences that is individually designed to meet each student’s career interests and goals.

Our nationally renowned faculty members have strengths in all areas of pharmaceutical science, and many have been recognized for teaching excellence, outstanding research and their professional activities. Research focus areas include the exploration and design of anti-infective agents, the design and development of innovative drug dosage forms, and the mechanisms and consequences of drug interactions with living organisms.

Speech Communication
The speech communication undergraduate program is focused on developing and enhancing students' communication skills through speeches and presentations, while studying communication concepts. Outcomes:

• Demonstrate understanding and the value of communication competence in public speaking, argumentation and critical discourse, and interpersonal communication as they pertain to personal and professional activities and contexts.
• Articulate relevant theory and research in the contexts of their practical applications.
• Recognize the social, cultural and historical significance of rhetoric and other communication phenomena.
• Be prepared to pursue further professional or academic endeavors in one’s selected communication discipline.

The Athletic Training curriculum at Oregon State University will prepare you to become an athletic trainer. As an athletic trainer, you will collaborate with physicians to provide preventive services, emergency care, clinical diagnosis, therapeutic intervention and rehabilitation of injuries and medical conditions.

Students who successfully complete a degree in Athletic Training from an accredited athletic training program are eligible to sit for the Board of Certification (BOC) examination. BOC certification (ATC) establishes the entry-level credential to work as an athletic trainer.

Athletic trainers work in a variety of settings, including:

• Corporate and industrial settings

Women, Gender, and Sexuality Studies is the multidisciplinary study of gender and women's lives and experiences. Course work explores women's realities in such areas as the political and social sciences, health, psychology, history, literature, and the arts. Women, Gender, and Sexuality Studies programs grew out of the women's movement, involving understandings of discrimination in society and a need to celebrate different women's strengths, contributions, and forms of resistance.

Our program focuses on women of color feminisms, transnational feminisms, and queer feminist studies, offering MA students critical foundations in both theory and practice. We offer our students both the intellectual and applied skills to serve as activist scholars and global citizens, prepared to engage matters of social justice within public, private, and academic spheres.

Psychology
The School of Psychological Science offers students a variety of educational avenues that provide the necessary tools for competency in, and appreciation for, psychology as a scientific discipline.

Students in the merchandising management program prepare for positions in management, merchandising, inventory control, sales promotion, public relations and human resources. This field offers a wide variety of career opportunities with retailers, manufacturers, marketing research firms and product information services. In a global, diverse, fast-paced and competitive environment, merchandisers are involved in market analysis, product planning, sourcing, procurement, pricing, distribution and visual presentation of apparel and textile products.
