Business Administration
The business administration degree provides students with a broad overview of business; basic skills in accounting and quantitative methods; an understanding of the legal and social environment of business; a background in management and organizational behavior, marketing, finance, and operations management; an understanding of the entrepreneurial process; and the opportunity to integrate course work and further develop decision-making skills through the analysis of business cases.

Religious Studies at OSU is an inter-disciplinary field that combines history, philosophy, anthropology, ethics, textual analysis, art, literature and film to examine the ways that humans have described and acted in response to that which they have called divine, both in civilizations long past and among peoples and nations around the world in the present moment. A major in Religious Studies will expose you to some of the most profound and beautiful creations of the human imagination, give you expertise in critical reasoning and close engagement with texts and ideas, give you skills to navigate the cultural complexity of our diverse society, and prepare you to be a participatory citizen of our interconnected global environment.

The marketing curriculum provides students with technical marketing skills and leadership training. Career options include sales, advertising, retailing, brand management, logistics management, market research, purchasing management and more.

Zoology
Zoology is an interdisciplinary biological sciences degree that focuses on all aspects of the biology of animals – from genes to ecosystems. In particular, the zoology coursework covers major areas of the life sciences including genetics, physiology, ecology, evolution and conservation biology. Through comprehensive content, critical thinking skills, professional development training and the opportunity for hands-on, experiential learning, you’ll be able to apply a wealth of knowledge to real-life situations once you enter the job market.s

Oregon State's radiation health physics program traces its roots back to the 1960s and today produces the most graduates of any program in the nation. The undergraduate or bachelor's program is broken into two sections: pre-engineering (two years) and pro-engineering (two years).

Liberal Studies
The Liberal Studies (LS) program's mission is to facilitate the development and implementation of an interdisciplinary, thematically-based learning program selected by the student. Liberal Studies themes are as varied as your imagination. Some themes, such as "Cultural Studies through Literature" draw on two or three liberal arts disciplines to provide students with a broad-based understanding of how people interact and maintain cultural structures and social institutions. Other themes, such as "event coordination" prepare students for a particular type of work in specific industries. Anthropology
200,000 years ago, human beings emerged from the dry savannahs of East Africa. 12,000 years ago, we learned to domesticate the natural world around us. 7,000 years ago we started to trade with each other, build kingdoms and record our histories.

By 2,500 years ago, people had begun to dig a little deeper — asking big questions that gave rise to civilization, art and philosophy. What does it mean to be human? Why do we behave the way we do? What is our purpose? Anthropologists have been trying to answer those questions ever since.

As an anthropologist, you will spend your days studying the people of the past in order to better understand the present. Whether by capturing oral histories, fundraising for a nonprofit or researching the dynamic way cultural ideas shift over time, you’ll use the knowledge you gain at Oregon State to make the world a kinder, more imaginative place.

Economics

• The department offers four different paths in the major and a minor:
• General Economics Option - Organizations want employees who can think, communicate orally, write, and solve problems, and who are comfortable with quantitative analysis.
• Managerial Economics Option - The Managerial Economics Option is an interdisciplinary program which allows students to use business classes toward the requirements of the economics degree.
• Law, Economics and Policy Option - The Law, Economics and Policy Option is an interdisciplinary program drawing from political science and philosophy courses as well as economics.
• Mathematical Economics Option - As the economics profession becomes increasingly mathematical, economics majors who plan to go to graduate school need a strong math background.
