Economics
Economics is the study of how individuals, firms and nations make choices when confronted with limited resources. At Saint Louis University, economics majors learn to apply theory and problem-solving skills while balancing public policy with the choices faced by today’s society.

The Center for Advanced Dental Education (CADE) at Saint Louis University offers a program in the specialty of endodontics that leads to the Master of Science in Dentistry degree and a certificate in endodontics. This program is offered in close affiliation with the Missouri School of Dentistry and Oral Health AT Still University. The program requirements are conducted at both Saint Louis University and the Missouri School of Dentistry and Oral Health AT Still.

A degree in social work gives students the skills to improve the quality of life for individuals or communities faced with difficulties such as poverty, serious illness or disability.
Social workers seek to help individuals, families, groups and communities address challenges in their lives. As a part of the College for Public Health and Social Justice, Saint Louis University’s social work degree prepares students for generalist social work practice that integrates knowledge and skills with field experience.

Saint Louis University's investigative and medical sciences (IMS) program meets the needs of students considering any of a wide variety of career paths in the health sciences. It is designed mainly as a pre-professional program for students looking to advance in health care education and is ideal preparation for medical, physician assistant, dental, pharmacy, optometry or other health-related graduate programs.

Studio Art
Saint Louis University's studio art program provides students with experience and guidance in creating art. Students explore their individual artistic abilities while learning to understand and appreciate art in a global context. African American studies describe the systematic investigation into the vast range of racial, ethnic, cultural and political perspectives, experiences and beliefs of people of African heritage around the globe, with particular focus on the African Diaspora in the United States. Students emerge from Saint Louis University's African American Studies, B.A. program with a rigorous understanding of the histories, philosophies, culture and literature emergent from the African Diaspora, thus enabling them to embark on careers in education, law, politics, business and the arts.

Womens and Gender Studies
Saint Louis University's Department of Women’s and Gender Studies is open to people of all genders, with courses focusing on women, gender and sexuality across the curriculum of the humanities and social sciences and including professional schools such as nursing, law and social work.

It provides a foundation for all the natural sciences and engineering disciplines. Physics has brought such revolutions as relativity, quantum mechanics and the Big Bang theory, profoundly altering the way mankind views the universe.

Students in Saint Louis University's Richard A. Chaifetz School of Business Master of Accounting (M.Acc.) program enhance their professional accounting abilities while developing strong analytical, problem-solving and communication skills. Our accounting graduates have a long history of success on the CPA exam, with pass rates exceeding both the Missouri and national averages. Our graduates have also earned the Missouri gold medal on several occasions.

Curriculum Overview
SLU's Chaifetz School of Business, with its continuing mission to provide excellence in business education, developed the M.Acc. program to help students gain superior ethical, technical and professional accounting skills. The program provides in-depth expertise in general accounting, taxation and auditing.

The program consists of 30 credits of advanced coursework with between 15 and 21 credits in accounting. The remaining credits will be completed in business electives determined in consultation with the program director. Pre-program requirements in economics, accounting, finance, mathematics and statistics may be required of students without sufficient functional background.
