African American Studies
African American studies describe the systematic investigation into the vast range of racial, ethnic, cultural and political perspectives, experiences and beliefs of people of African heritage around the globe, with particular focus on the African Diaspora in the United States. Students emerge from Saint Louis University's African American Studies, B.A. program with a rigorous understanding of the histories, philosophies, culture and literature emergent from the African Diaspora, thus enabling them to embark on careers in education, law, politics, business and the arts.

Biomedical Engineering
At Saint Louis University’s Parks College of Engineering, Aviation and Technology, we have developed an innovative, future-focused biomedical engineering program that incorporates the latest trends in the industry to address the current and future needs of the profession and our society.

Our curriculum has a strong focus on the principles of both engineering and medicine. As a student in the biomedical engineering program at SLU, you will be challenged to integrate your knowledge of the biological and physical sciences with the engineering skills you are developing by participating in hands-on projects inside and outside the classroom. Geoscience is the study of the Earth and includes the fields of geology, geophysics and environmental science. Volcanoes, earthquakes, floods, landslides and plate tectonics are some of the things that geoscientists investigate and try to understand. Saint Louis University's Bachelor of Science in Geophysics is offered through its Department of Earth and Atmospheric Sciences. 

Bioethics is a field that analyzes the ethical questions raised by advances in medical and scientific technology. It examines these questions both in the clinical context and in health policy. Well-known bioethical topics include abortion, euthanasia and stem cell research. But the field’s area of study has grown dramatically in recent decades in keeping with the rapid pace of biotechnological advances. More recent bioethical work addresses developments in genetics, neuroscience, public health and various emerging fields in the biomedical sciences.

Offered through Saint Louis University's School for Professional Studies, our Master of Science in Cybersecurity curriculum will teach you to apply information security principles to analyze, detect and mitigate vulnerabilities and intrusions to your organization’s cyberinfrastructure. You will also gain a deeper appreciation and understanding of the social, policy, ethical and legal aspects of security and privacy.

Graduates with an M.S. in cybersecurity are prepared to manage and lead cyber teams and programs in roles ranging from government cybersecurity analyst to data security consultant. All courses are offered in online and hybrid formats in eight-week terms, making advanced education more accessible for working professionals.
