Marketing
Marketing focuses first and foremost on customers — understanding them, attracting them, and maintaining their loyalty. In this way, marketing undertakes the management of demand. The Richard A. Chaifetz School of Business marketing program at Saint Louis University provides students with the practical skills and training necessary to succeed in professional marketing positions worldwide. In addition, graduates are creative in their approach to problem-solving with an understanding of human behavior in its qualitative and quantitative dimensions.

Sociology is the scientific study of human groups and their characteristics, changes, causes and consequences. Through teaching, research and service, sociology reveals a critical understanding of the different ways people relate to one another through the organization of society and how its structures and cultures influence lives.
At Saint Louis University, the Bachelor of Arts in Sociology program’s subject matter ranges from family life to large-scale organizations, from crime to religion, from the divisions of race and social class to the shared beliefs of a common culture, from poverty to prosperity, and from the sociology of work to the sociology of sport. Chemistry
Saint Louis University's Master of Arts in Chemistry offers specialization in analytical, inorganic, organic, physical or biological chemistry, with cross-disciplinary activity encouraged. The Master of Arts in Criminology and Criminal Justice (MACCJ) degree prepares students to meet these challenges by providing them with a core criminological knowledge foundation and the opportunity to gain further skills and enhance their graduate education by selecting one of three diverse concentrations:

• Administration of Justice
• Emergency Management
• Treatment and Rehabilitation

The MACCJ degree prepares graduates to be advanced practitioners in a variety of community and justice agency/organizational settings. The program is offered in variable formats: most classes are offered on campus in the evening but one concentration, emergency management, is currently offered online only.

Chemical Biology and Pharmacology
Saint Louis University's Bachelor of Science in Chemical Biology and Pharmacology is an interdisciplinary degree in which students gain a strong foundation in chemistry, biology and pharmacology. The degree is customizable to align with students' interests in medicinal chemistry, pharmacology, or molecular biology.

Accounting
Accounting is the language of business decision-making and is a primary means of organizational communication. The accountant’s role has changed substantially over the past decade. Today, accountants are actively involved in the analysis and interpretation of financial data and work with other executives in decision-making and problem-solving activities.

Saint Louis University's Master of Social Work (M.S.W.) prepares social work professionals for work with vulnerable populations facing health, social and economic challenges.
Social workers are educationally prepared to provide services including therapy, policy advocacy, case management, group work, crisis intervention, children and family practice, and leadership for nonprofit organizations. M.S.W.-level social workers are employed in a wide variety of human service organizations including family and community centers, mental health and treatment centers, hospitals, schools, nonprofit agencies, residential children’s or adult centers, justice centers, and many more organizations.

Spanish
Speaking a language other than English is a necessary asset in an increasingly globalized, complex world. Mastering Spanish as the demand for bilingual workers in the U.S. continues to rise gives graduates a competitive edge in fields such as education, health care, business, international relationships, government, cultural studies, social work and law enforcement. It also enlarges one's personal horizons by increasing cultural awareness and global contacts.

Saint Louis University's M.S. in Applied Behavior Analysis involves the application of behavioral principles to produce socially significant changes in behavior.
ABA approaches may involve services for a full spectrum of mental health disorders, especially developmental disorders. Other areas of practice include work with communities and organizations. Practitioners use direct assessments, research evidence and single-subject research designs to inform and evaluate interventions designed. The diversity of training provides graduates with opportunities for broad clinical application (e.g. sports, organizational behavior management, etc.).

A public health major is a perfect fit for students who are service-oriented and like to ask the bigger questions about health, understand why health differs across populations, and address health disparities and social justice on a community level in diverse local, national and global settings.
