With a Master of Science in Information Systems offered through Saint Louis University's School for Professional Studies, you'll gain the skills in software development, analytics, evidence-based decision making, ethics and leadership needed to provide technical expertise and strategic decision-making as an information systems professional. As part of SLU's School for Professional Studies, the 33-credit Master of Science in Information Systems program offers technology-driven professionals like you a flexible option to meet your personal career goals. Optional Practical Training or OPT is a period during which students, who have completed their degrees in the USA, are permitted to work for one year on a student visa by the United States Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS). OPT allows students to work for up to 3 years and develop real-world skills to survive in the competitive jobs market.
It is temporary employment for a period of 12-months that is directly related to the major area of study of an F-1 student. Eligible students have the option to apply for OPT employment authorization before completing their academic studies and/or after completing their academic studies.
A student can participate in three types of Optional Practical Training (OPT):

International Year One in Science will prepare you to enter your next semester of a bachelor's degree program at Saint Louis University. Upon successful completion of International Year One and meeting university requirements for undergraduate admission, you may enter your second year of undergraduate study at Saint Louis University. This transition from an INTO program to a university degree program is called progression.
Athletic Training
Saint Louis University's athletic training program offers an early-assurance 3+2 graduate professional program. Students earn a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) in Exercise Science after the completion of four years and then a Master of Athletic Training (M.A.T.) after successful completion of an additional post-baccalaureate year. Students may also enter the program as an undergraduate transfer student or as a post-baccalaureate. The athletic training program has an interprofessional focus with a curriculum that develops a team approach to health care.

Saint Louis University’s Master of Arts in English provides students with scholarly training in a variety of literary fields and in the study of rhetoric and composition.
Students in our program receive training in pedagogy, research, writing and theory.
