Accounting

Concentration in Environmental Policy
You’ll learn to be an interdisciplinary problem-solver, drawing from the natural sciences, humanities, and social sciences. Our trading room provides a simulated environment where you can analyze the latest stock quotes and compare currency exchange rates, just as professional traders do.

And you’ll learn from faculty who have real-world business experience at companies such as Ford Motor Company, Rho-Theta Associates, and Delta Partners LLC. Your professors offer a first-hand global perspective, having lived, worked, and studied in countries like Tunisia, China, Uganda, and Iran. Sociology is a social science that studies our behavior as social beings. It covers everything from the analysis of short contacts between anonymous individuals to the study of global social processes. Often, sociologists are driven to understand and improve the lives of others.

Public Relations
What's it take to succeed in PR? Image is almost everything, but there's a lot you'll need to learn. Suffolk University's public relations major will ground you in the business—and the art—of crafting attention-getting, thought-provoking campaigns that make a difference.

You’ll begin by learning the foundations of public relations, including its history, theory, trends, and practices. You’ll take courses in professional writing, digital and social media, web design, and event planning and promotion. All of this leads to advanced courses in planning public relations campaigns for corporate or nonprofit class clients.

Suffolk's Theatre Department is student-centered. We'll help you shine, whether you choose to act; write, direct, and design your own original plays; master stage or arts management; intern with leading theatre companies in Boston and abroad; and so much more. Our students work in classic, musical, and experimental genres with a special focus on new work.

The Theatre Department trains gifted storytellers—successful actors, producers, designers, writers, directors, educators, arts administrators. You will work closely with talented faculty and staff, guest artists, with local professional companies at the Modern and with arts companies outside of the university.
