Management
With a major in management, you’ll learn how to work collaboratively and lead effectively in today’s competitive global marketplace.

Classes like the Management Senior Capstone Project Course let you test your business knowledge. You’ll spend a semester working through business challenges for an actual client. After weeks of intensive research, group meetings, and client interviews, you'll present your business recommendations to senior-level executives.

You’ll graduate an innovative, creative, and effective problem solver, who’s ready to manage many different types of organizations. And you’ll have the confidence to lead diverse teams that encompass different cultural, ethical, political, and behavioral perspectives.

The Finance major focuses on the evolving demands of the global financial environment. You'll be introduced to the latest educational technology, including Compustat, CRSP, StockTrak, Bloomberg, and Morningstar. Our trading room provides a simulated environment where you can analyze the latest stock quotes and compare currency exchange rates, just as professional traders do.

And you’ll learn from faculty who have real-world business experience at companies such as Ford Motor Company, Rho-Theta Associates, and Delta Partners LLC. Your professors offer a first-hand global perspective, having lived, worked, and studied in countries like Tunisia, China, Uganda, and Iran. Others are leading researchers who publish in top academic journals, such as the Journal of Corporate Finance and the Journal of Economics and Business.

Global Business
Students can combine a major in Global Business with one functional area, such as accounting, business economics, big data and business analytics, entrepreneurship, finance, marketing, management, information systems, or wealth management.

Whichever option you choose, you'll learn a foreign language, travel the globe, and explore internship opportunities. With so many double major combinations and study abroad options, you can tailor your degree to meet your career goals.

If you’re creative, passionate, driven, and want to be an impact player in the business world, the entrepreneurship major is for you. The curriculum has two paths: corporate entrepreneurship and launching new ventures.

Incorporate entrepreneurship, the curriculum takes you on a practical journey of idea generation, opportunity feasibility, business planning, and strategic consulting with small firms.

In the launch sequence, you’ll work with faculty to create a new venture. The program is flexible and allows movement between both paths throughout your academic career.

Economics
As an economics major at Suffolk University, you’ll be part of a vibrant community of students, scholars, and professors who synthesize data to solve social issues and substantiate policy decisions. You’ll be treated like a colleague—expect to work alongside professors on key research and policy issues; many of our scholars are frequently called on to provide policy advice and media commentary.

Our program provides a broad study of economics, from micro-and macroeconomics to statistics. With these skills, you can embark on a career in international relations, finance, government, or public policy.

As an economics major, you’ll learn to think logically to solve problems. You’ll also use observations and datasets to make important inferences. You’ll learn to state your ideas clearly and concisely in written assignments and oral presentations. Plus, you’ll discover how to analyze issues like crime, unemployment, inflation, taxes, sports, and voting behavior using economic tools and methods.

Graphic Design 
Graphic designers influence the way people think by converting ideas, information, and emotions into visual symbols. Their work is behind the websites you surf, the packaging of your favorite products, the signage that helps you navigate a space, and the book that you just can’t put down.

Wherever you look, graphic design is embedded into the world, persuading and informing what you see and do every day—and you can study it at Suffolk University in downtown Boston. Suffolk University is accredited by the National Association of Schools of Art and Design (NASAD). Our Bachelor of Fine Arts in graphic design program gives you the intellectual and practical skills you'll need to be successful in this diverse field.

Suffolk University's biology major is especially collaborative and career-focused. Many of your classes will have fewer than 20 students, and you'll benefit from your professors' individual attention, thanks to our low faculty-to-student ratio.

Your experiences in our classrooms and labs will teach you scientific research methods and reporting; your experiences interning at Boston's premier hospitals and research facilities will deepen your knowledge and broaden your network.

At Suffolk, you can earn either a Bachelor of Arts or a Bachelor of Science in Biology, depending on your area of focus. If you have a specific professional interest, you might choose one of our three concentration options.

Concentration in Marine Science
This concentration prepares you for a career as a marine biologist, conservationist, zoologist, and other fields related to ecology. It is immersive and features courses taught through the Marine Studies Consortium (MSC), a collaborative organization of 16 local institutions. Locations include the New England Aquarium and the Woods Hole Oceanographic Institution.

Environmental Studies
Whether you see yourself doing environmental research on rainforests, advocating for better air-quality policies, or working in government, you can explore these interests as an environmental studies major.

You’ll learn to be an interdisciplinary problem-solver, drawing from the natural sciences, humanities, and social sciences. You’ll develop a comprehensive understanding of complex environmental issues. Focus your studies with a concentration in environmental policy or urban environmentalism. You might enhance your studies with service learning for an environmental organization, study abroad in Costa Rica or the Galapagos Islands, or a research project with classmates right here in Boston. You’ll take your science courses in our brand-new building that features state-of-the-art labs and research facilities.

Financial Technology (FinTech)
