The Department of Philosophy offers a variety of courses in which you'll study the principles of critical thinking and argumentation that help us address these questions. Here you can take classes on topics from logic to the philosophy of art, from existentialism to environmental ethics, from feminism to the philosophy of race and gender. We also feature courses outside the western tradition, including Chinese philosophy, Buddhism, African philosophy, and Native American religion. In advanced seminars, you'll delve into the works of the great philosophers—Plato, Aristotle, Kant, Heidegger, Wittgenstein, and others.

Graphic designers influence the way people think by converting ideas, information, and emotions into visual symbols. Their work is behind the websites you surf, the packaging of your favorite products, the signage that helps you navigate a space, and the book that you just can’t put down.

Wherever you look, graphic design is embedded into the world, persuading and informing what you see and do every day—and you can study it at Suffolk University in downtown Boston. Concentration in Environmental Policy
You’ll learn to be an interdisciplinary problem-solver, drawing from the natural sciences, humanities, and social sciences. Suffolk's Theatre Department is student-centered. We'll help you shine, whether you choose to act; write, direct, and design your own original plays; master stage or arts management; intern with leading theatre companies in Boston and abroad; and so much more. Economics
As an economics major at Suffolk University, you’ll be part of a vibrant community of students, scholars, and professors who synthesize data to solve social issues and substantiate policy decisions. Our program provides a broad study of economics, from micro-and macroeconomics to statistics. With these skills, you can embark on a career in international relations, finance, government, or public policy.

This major combines courses in statistics, information technology, and business, to help you build strong business decision-making skills. You’ll learn how to use business data to improve efficiency, solve problems, identify new opportunities, and prepare for the future.

When you graduate, you’ll be able to analyze large volumes of data and make tangible recommendations that help organizations make smart decisions and solve challenges. Learn to track, measure, and report on data sets and business statistics for both micro and macro applications.
