The Bachelor of Science in Education in Rehabilitation Studies and Services program at the University of Arizona teaches students the advocacy and empowerment skills required to fill vital community roles. Students graduate with thorough knowledge of the rehabilitation process and the skills needed to help individuals remove environmental barriers, gain equal access and achieve their goals. The Bachelor of Science in Personal & Family Financial Planning introduces students to the core elements of financial planning and wealth management. Students enhance their studies with courses in law and ethics, personal and family dynamics, retirement strategies, risk management, federal income taxation and tax codes, professional conduct, fiduciary responsibility, investments and more. The capstone project challenges students to create and present a comprehensive financial plan centered on data provided during the course. The B.S. program also requires an internship, so students gain on-the-job experience they can apply to future clients and employers.

Become proficient in tectonics, geophysics and geodynamics to gain greater understanding of our planet - from its inner core to the depths of the oceans to the outer reaches of space. The Bachelor of Science in Geosciences with a Geophysics emphasis takes an interdisciplinary approach to the study of the planet. The program covers topics such as tectonics, geophysics and geodynamics, as well as Earth system modeling, remote sensing and seismology. Students learn quantitative scientific research skills and gain experience working with data and technology in the field and in the laboratory. The program provides instruction in the languages, cultures, and civilizations of East Asia (China, Japan, and Korea); Asian humanities and religions; and Asian-American studies. Individual programs may emphasize the language, linguistics, literature, history, thought, religion, and society (ancient or modern) of more than one cultural area (China, Japan, or Korea). Students may specialize in the East Asian region or one or more discipline-focused studies of East Asian subjects. Advanced study of Chinese, Japanese, or Korean is required.

Flute studies at the Fred Fox School of Music include weekly private lessons, a weekly studio master class, small group technique classes, flute pedagogy and more. Along with applied study, students earning the Bachelor of Music in Performance with a Flute emphasis perform solo, chamber, concerto, orchestral and wind ensemble repertoire for live performances, competitions and recordings. They focus on performance objectives; develop important kinesiological habits; condense music theory, history and physiology in a simplified, interpretative way; and train the body's physical performance mechanisms. Students are encouraged to seek national and international recognition through competitions, festival performances and scholarly publications.

No matter the medium television, websites, publications through which news travels, it's trained journalists who bring truth to power and the people. Journalism is the field of researching and reporting the news through a variety of media. This Bachelor of Arts introduces students to the fundamentals of journalism, including important aspects of the field such as law and ethics. Students learn to gather information, interview subjects, analyze the content, distill it and then communicate to an audience effectively, accurately, quickly and ethically. While students get exposure to all aspects of journalism, they can also specialize in broadcast or global journalism, even opting for coursework in digital media, such as drone videography or app development, to further prepare them for this always-changing field. A second major or a minor in a specialized field, such as political science, religion or Middle Eastern studies, is required.
