Environmental Studies sheds light on the human dimensions of environmental issues. The interdisciplinary nature of this Bachelor of Arts makes the study of geography critical to understanding key factors affecting the environment in today's world. Distinguished faculty members teach courses about water, land use, food, energy, the built environment and climate related to both urban and rural areas. Students explore techniques for addressing pressing social science issues, but they study physical science techniques as well. Flute studies at the Fred Fox School of Music include weekly private lessons, a weekly studio master class, small group technique classes, flute pedagogy and more. Along with applied study, students earning the Bachelor of Music in Performance with a Flute emphasis perform solo, chamber, concerto, orchestral and wind ensemble repertoire for live performances, competitions and recordings. They focus on performance objectives; develop important kinesiological habits; condense music theory, history and physiology in a simplified, interpretative way; and train the body's physical performance mechanisms. Students are encouraged to seek national and international recognition through competitions, festival performances and scholarly publications.

The pursuit of a Bachelor of Music in Performance with an emphasis in the Harpsichord provides students with a rigorous course of study. Classwork includes topics that range from the technical (piano, methodology, aural skills) to the cultural (history of music in the 20th century), all of which deepen students' understanding of music as a whole. The internationally recognized faculty at the Fred Fox School of Music offers highly individualized instruction as well as master classes where students are encouraged to collaborate. Agriculture has evolved from hand hoes and sickles to today's tools: drones, crop sensors and drought-resistant plants. Students who select the Agricultural Technology Management emphasis of the Bachelor of Science in Agricultural Technology Management and Education specialize in one of six areas: controlled environment agriculture, field crop production and management, information systems, horticulture management, turf grass management or animal agriculture. They will develop a strong foundation of technical expertise and field experience, learning how to use technology and modern techniques. Coursework focuses on skill development in areas such as lab and shop safety, applications in agricultural mechanics, operations in urban agricultural mechanization, and irrigation and turf maintenance.

The study of information science and arts uses a solid mathematical and technical foundation to emphasize computational arts, such as creative coding and digital storytelling. The Bachelor of Arts in Information Science and Arts consists of coursework organized into three tiers: core classes (computer programming, digital ethics, statistics, fundamentals of information science); research methods, data analysis and intensive computing; and advanced techniques customized to each student's interest. Students enjoy access to laser cutters, 3D printers and other technologies in the new rapid prototyping lab, and they can harness their creativity into a highly specific technical expertise.

The Bachelor of Arts in Journalism with an emphasis in Broadcast Journalism focuses on reporting the news for radio, television and multimedia outlets.
