Agriculture has evolved from hand hoes and sickles to today's tools: drones, crop sensors and drought-resistant plants. Students who select the Agricultural Technology Management emphasis of the Bachelor of Science in Agricultural Technology Management and Education specialize in one of six areas: controlled environment agriculture, field crop production and management, information systems, horticulture management, turf grass management or animal agriculture. They will develop a strong foundation of technical expertise and field experience, learning how to use technology and modern techniques. Coursework focuses on skill development in areas such as lab and shop safety, applications in agricultural mechanics, operations in urban agricultural mechanization, and irrigation and turf maintenance.

The Bachelor of Fine Arts in Film and Television trains students to become directors, producers, screenwriters, cinematographers, editors, sound designers and other industry leaders. When students join the Bachelor of Music in Performance program with an emphasis in Jazz Studies, they learn from an internationally renowned faculty whose members enjoy accolades in both the performance and academic spheres. Coursework at the Fred Fox School of Music aims to teach students how to achieve high-quality musical expression in performance and teaching, and to understand selected music with regard to style and form, including the ability to discuss the historical relevance and placement of a piece. The 2D emphasis in the Bachelor of Fine Arts in Studio Art asks students to specialize in one of two areas: Painting & Drawing, or Printmaking. Students develop skills in their specialization through courses that advance contemporary and historical awareness of the discipline. Faculty members from Painting, Drawing and Printmaking are committed to interdisciplinary approaches. Students enjoy printmaking facilities offering traditional and technologically based processes, and can use oil, acrylic and dry media in the painting and drawing facilities. Elective courses provide students with a chance to explore subjects inside and outside their areas of emphasis, such as collage, installation and watercolor.

Students pursuing an emphasis in Sustainable Buildings within the Bachelor of Science in Sustainable Built Environments program explore the science and practice the techniques behind building energy efficiency. Hands-on coursework includes such topics as climate-responsive design, net-zero energy design, energy conservation, passive solar design and natural ventilation systems. In this interdisciplinary program, students learn how to analyze existing and planned structures and use critical-thinking skills and solutions-based strategies to create workable plans to make those buildings more efficient. Students graduate with a practical understanding of sustainability principles and expertise in built environment policy and design.

Study one of the most crucial aspects of human connection: language. It's how we communicate, record our past and understand the world around us. Linguistics is the scientific study of language. Specifically, it looks at how humans acquire language, the structures of language and how language influences the ways in which humans interact with and think about the world. Students in the Bachelor of Arts program with an Academic and Professional emphasis learn from world-renowned faculty (including the University of Arizona's own Noam Chomsky, a thought leader in linguistics) that includes experts in language documentation and revitalization, especially for Native American languages. Throughout the program, students examine language structures, the relationships between language and cognition, computational linguistics, literature, social constructs and psycholinguistics.

The French and Francophone focus suits students with wide-ranging interests in French and Francophone studies to complete a French major without taking all courses in French. After completing the core requirements in French language, students take courses in the major that are taught in English. Students benefit from a diverse program, with coursework in language, literature and culture. There are also opportunities to study abroad in Paris, which is one of the oldest and most established study abroad programs at the University of Arizona.
