Overview
Engage in the process of making art, and also in the critical dialogue that explores how art communicates important messages to the rest of the world. The Bachelor of Arts in Studio Art embraces a workshop-structured approach to coursework, which is designed as an experiential initiation into professional artistic practice, creative methodology and studio work ethic. Students make art, discuss how and what art communicates to others, and learn strategies to sharpen the connection been an art object and its meanings. Faculty members work closely with students from the generation of an idea through the realization of the object. Integrated projects, rather than isolated design exercises, encourage personal investment. The focus of the program is to foster inventive and resourceful students who can express complicated ideas in a manner that is technically and conceptually sophisticated.

Optional Practical Training or OPT is a period during which students, who have completed their degrees in the USA, are permitted to work for one year on a student visa by the United States Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS). OPT allows students to work for up to 3 years and develop real-world skills to survive in the competitive jobs market.
It is temporary employment for a period of 12-months that is directly related to the major area of study of an F-1 student. Eligible students have the option to apply for OPT employment authorization before completing their academic studies and/or after completing their academic studies.

Our planet is more than meets the eye. Explore the history of Earth's climate, global change, ocean science and modern climate dynamics. Students who select the Bachelor of Science in Geosciences with an Earth, Oceans and Climate (EOC) emphasis are immersed in an interdisciplinary approach to the study of the planet. Students gain an understanding of the history of Earth's climate, global change, ocean science and modern climate dynamics. They learn scientific research skills and work with data and technology in the field and in the laboratory. EOC students participate in hands-on capstone research or field experience, typically in the latter part of their program. Graduates pursue careers in environmental geology and scientific research in fields such as oceanography, climate science, surficial processes, paleoclimate, paleoecology and more.

Explore the concepts of ecology and genetics in an evolutionary context in the first department of its kind in the world. The field of ecology and evolutionary biology deals with the integration of biological systems across all levels of organization, from molecular biology to global ecosystems. This Bachelor of Science is for the student planning to pursue graduate study or a career in ecology and evolutionary biology, or a related scientific field. The Bachelor of Arts prepares students for careers that require having scientific knowledge, such as scientific journalism, developing environmental and scientific policy or practicing law in related fields.
