The public health field always has a need for analytical minds for tracking and prevention of disease. The University of Arizona's Bachelor of Science with a major in Public Health is accredited by the Council on Education for Public Health. Students pursuing the Quantitative Methods in Public Health emphasis take courses on the acquisition, assessment, analysis, management and communication of health data. The Bachelor of Music in Music Education curriculum prepares students to become music teachers, offering K-12 certification in instrumental, vocal and general music classrooms. Graduates are certified to teach all aspects of music in any grade from kindergarten through high school and go on to secure positions in elementary, secondary and collegiate level institutions across the country and around the world. Because the program develops students' musical skills as performers and educators, the degree also provides an excellent foundation for students to continue their studies in graduate school.

Journalism is the field of researching and reporting the news through a variety of media. This Bachelor of Arts introduces students to the fundamentals of journalism, including important aspects of the field such as law and ethics. Students learn to gather information, interview subjects, analyze the content, distill it and then communicate to an audience effectively, accurately, quickly and ethically. While students get exposure to all aspects of journalism, they can also specialize in broadcast or global journalism, even opting for coursework in digital media, such as drone videography or app development, to further prepare them for this always-changing field. A second major or a minor in a specialized field, such as political science, religion or Middle Eastern studies, is required.

Food systems is the study of the food supply chain, which includes production, processing, distribution, and consumption as well as waste. Drivers of the food system include culture, economics, policy, and marketing, and the collective impact on outcomes including human and environmental health, food insecurity, and community food security. The Nutrition and Food Systems degree is an interdisciplinary approach to understanding the complexities of the food system from production to consumption and impact on human health, as well as challenges faced by the food system to develop sustainable solutions for producing, processing, delivering, and consuming safe, culturally desirable, nutritious, and economically and environmentally sustainable food. The College of Agriculture and Life Sciences is committed to training emerging leaders who will address grand challenges facing humanity, including management and preservation of precious and finite natural resources, and finding solutions to feed over 9 billion people by 2050.
