Identify and assess global trends in political, financial and social areas and become an empowered leader who communicates and inspires across cultural boundaries. Global Studies is an interdisciplinary approach to thinking critically about global issues. This Bachelor of Arts is structured around intellectual and experiential frameworks that empower students to analyze, adapt, communicate, problem-solve and empathize. The Global Political and Economy emphasis examines the mechanisms of order and disorder, and cooperation and conflict among humans. It also explores the major types of formal organizations, including nation-states, international or transnational organizations, and nongovernment organizations. Students gain knowledge of diverse global institutions and their political, economic, social and cultural impacts on the world. They also develop ""global competency"" by obtaining the necessary skills for engaging in problem-solving across boundaries.

The Bachelor of Music in Music Education curriculum prepares students to become music teachers, offering K-12 certification in instrumental, vocal and general music classrooms. Graduates are certified to teach all aspects of music in any grade from kindergarten through high school and go on to secure positions in elementary, secondary and collegiate level institutions across the country and around the world. Because the program develops students' musical skills as performers and educators, the degree also provides an excellent foundation for students to continue their studies in graduate school.

The Bachelor of Arts major in Italian with a Language and Literature emphasis offers an interdisciplinary approach that focuses on the study of the Italian language. In this program one of the largest Italian programs in the country students acquire a high level of proficiency in reading, writing and speaking Italian. In addition to the study of language, coursework covers the literary and artistic aspects of Italian culture and their contributions to the world; milestones and major events in Italian history; and modern Italian culture, current events and politics. The field of health and human services is always in need of empathetic workers to serve as allies to individuals with disabilities. The Bachelor of Science in Education in Rehabilitation Studies and Services program at the University of Arizona teaches students the advocacy and empowerment skills required to fill vital community roles. Students graduate with thorough knowledge of the rehabilitation process and the skills needed to help individuals remove environmental barriers, gain equal access and achieve their goals. The program requires 34 credit hours and provides firsthand practice working on supervised casework in rehabilitation.
