Mexican American Studies examines the Mexican American experience as informed by social and health sciences, history, law and humanities. Students in this Bachelor of Arts major gain insight into how government and public policy, minority health disparities, urban planning, law, immigration, language and more affect the Mexican American population. Current U.S. demographic trends show that Mexican Americans live and work in the Southwest, the Midwest and the South, and many of these communities need people who are knowledgeable about the challenges and trajectories of Mexican Americans. To earn this B.A., students must start as Pre-computer Science majors and complete a core set of classes. No application is required to progress from Pre-computer Science to Computer Science. Founded in 1975 and led by a renowned faculty, the Gender and Women's Studies department at the University of Arizona stands at the forefront of feminist research and curriculum. The Bachelor of Arts in Gender and Women's Studies is an interdisciplinary program that works to contest historical, ongoing and pervasive oppression based on gender, race, sexuality, class, ability and citizenship. Small class sizes encourage students to interact closely to learn the ways in which gender shapes society, culture, history, the economy and politics in the U.S. This approach to scholarship builds critical thinking, reading, writing and research skills. Students earning the Bachelor of Music in Performance with an emphasis in Euphonium can take advantage of the Fred Fox School of Music's two concert bands, a select wind ensemble, two jazz bands, numerous jazz combos and a large and challenging orchestra program. In addition to these performance opportunities, students benefit from personalized attention and instruction. This includes a weekly lesson, a studio class, daily warm-ups and technique classes, plus ensemble and chamber coaching. The School of Music averages between 450 and 550 students, which provides opportunities that are typically only offered at larger schools of music.

In addition to a Bachelor of Arts in Education, students in the two-year program also earn an Elementary Certificate K-8 with a bilingual endorsement in English and Spanish. This credential allows them to teach in bilingual or dual-language classrooms or traditional settings. During the program, students split time between the University of Arizona and a local K-8 school. At the elementary school, they immerse themselves in Spanish and gain teaching experience with diverse language learners. Students also have the opportunity to student-teach in Mexico.
