Students who select the Agricultural Technology Management emphasis of the Bachelor of Science in Agricultural Technology Management and Education specialize in one of six areas: controlled environment agriculture, field crop production and management, information systems, horticulture management, turf grass management or animal agriculture. They will develop a strong foundation of technical expertise and field experience, learning how to use technology and modern techniques. Coursework focuses on skill development in areas such as lab and shop safety, applications in agricultural mechanics, operations in urban agricultural mechanization, and irrigation and turf maintenance.

Students who select the Bachelor of Science in Geosciences with an Earth, Oceans and Climate (EOC) emphasis are immersed in an interdisciplinary approach to the study of the planet. Students gain an understanding of the history of Earth's climate, global change, ocean science and modern climate dynamics. They learn scientific research skills and work with data and technology in the field and in the laboratory. EOC students participate in hands-on capstone research or field experience, typically in the latter part of their program. The French and Francophone focus suits students with wide-ranging interests in French and Francophone studies to complete a French major without taking all courses in French. After completing the core requirements in French language, students take courses in the major that are taught in English.
