The Bachelor of Music in Performance with a Harp emphasis invites students to study with peers from across the globe. At the Fred Fox School of Music, students enjoy close interaction with the esteemed faculty, all of whom are artists in their own right and who've performed at the world's greatest concert halls and received numerous accolades as musicians. Students can audition for the Harp Studio, which offers weekly private lessons, a studio class, the study of harp pedagogy, orchestral coaching, mock auditions and master classes with guest artists. Students can take advantage of opportunities to arrange, compose, record and tour with HarpFusion. Upon graduation, students are equipped for roles as performing artists, teachers, administrators and music scholars.

A Bachelor of Science in Biosystems Analytics and Technology prepares students for careers at the intersection of science, technology and analytics. Coursework focuses on combining biological, physical and data sciences with technology and helping students apply these tools to real-world environmental, ecological, biological and human challenges. Career opportunities range from precision agriculture and remote sensing to data mining and statistical informatics.

Explore the concepts of ecology and genetics in an evolutionary context in the first department of its kind in the world. The field of ecology and evolutionary biology deals with the integration of biological systems across all levels of organization, from molecular biology to global ecosystems. This Bachelor of Science is for the student planning to pursue graduate study or a career in ecology and evolutionary biology, or a related scientific field. The Bachelor of Arts prepares students for careers that require having scientific knowledge, such as scientific journalism, developing environmental and scientific policy or practicing law in related fields. The curriculum includes core courses in genetics, ecology and evolution, with additional study through involvement in independent research, usually by working in the labs of our faculty. Students also have access to certain field courses.

Learn how animals, science and business work together to further industry, education, and environmental and human health. The Bachelor of Science in Animal Sciences with an Animal Industry emphasis takes an interdisciplinary approach to educating students on how business and animal science pair in industries such as dairy production, food safety, research, marketing and more. Coursework includes business law and accounting and marketing principles, as well as science-based classes such as microbiology and physiology. The Animal Industry emphasis enables students to tailor the degree to their interests by allowing them five major elective courses in the following areas: Animal and Biomedical Sciences, Microbiology, Natural Resources, Agricultural & Resource Economics, and Molecular and Cellular Biology. Faculty and mentors associated with the program challenge students to apply their studies to address real-world challenges in the animal industry and agribusiness.

Communication is the scientific study of how humans interact with one another. Students in the Bachelor of Arts in Communication program examine the processes and effects of communication in four areas: interpersonal, mass, health and social influence. Because communication is the most fundamental social behavior by which individuals function, its study is relevant to a wide range of academic and career interests. Coursework focuses on learning to write clearly, effectively and persuasively; understanding how to convey complex ideas simply; developing critical thinking skills; and identifying how to thoughtfully consume media. The Bachelor of Science in Personal & Family Financial Planning introduces students to the core elements of financial planning and wealth management. Students enhance their studies with courses in law and ethics, personal and family dynamics, retirement strategies, risk management, federal income taxation and tax codes, professional conduct, fiduciary responsibility, investments and more. The capstone project challenges students to create and present a comprehensive financial plan centered on data provided during the course. The B.S. program also requires an internship, so students gain on-the-job experience they can apply to future clients and employers.

The Bachelor of Science in Food Safety is housed within the School of Animal and Comparative Biomedical Sciences and looks at how food science, regulation and law pertain to public and ecosystem health and sustainability. Projections estimate the food sector will need to safely produce, package and distribute sustenance for 9 billion people by 2050. That challenge requires innovation and collaboration as governments and businesses look to leaders who understand the opportunities and constraints in this complex industry. This interdisciplinary program trains students to become those leaders.

Majoring in World Literature exposes you to a variety of languages and cultures, providing a solid foundation for careers in industries locally or abroad. Students earning their Bachelor of Arts in World Literature gain advanced proficiency in at least one language other than English while cultivating cross-cultural literacy. An immersion in ancient and modern literature from a variety of regions broadens students' understanding of the human condition and the ideas and concepts that foster global connection. The B.A. in World Literature is a collaboration between the university's College of Humanities and College of Social and Behavioral Sciences. The major sets students up for careers in media, tourism, international business and other positions for which well-rounded, empathetic individuals are in high demand.

American politics affect lives beyond our country's borders. Help make a difference in the world with a degree that equips you with a deep understanding of political process. Political science is the study of government, public policy and the political behavior of individuals and groups. For the Bachelor of Arts in Political Science with an emphasis in American Politics, students grasp the foundations of political theory, and explore institutions, international relations, foreign affairs, and ideas and methods. They also delve into the unique systems, history and dynamics at play in the United States. Students develop strong analytical, argumentation and communication skills, and have access to internships at nonprofit organizations and government agencies, such as the Arizona Legislature and the Arizona Superior Court, and with local politicians and campaigns.

Global health professionals work in settings all over the world to help prevent the spread of disease, deploy clean water initiatives, and support communities in times of natural disasters. The University of Arizona's Bachelor of Science with a major in Public Health is accredited by the Council on Education for Public Health. Under the Global Health emphasis, one of several emphasis options, students explore sanitation, global food supplies, epidemiology and more. Plus, they complete an internship in their area of interest. Through a robust study abroad program, Public Health majors also have the opportunity to gain field research and service-learning experience in limited-resource settings.
