Thomas Jefferson University’s Bachelor of Architecture (B. Arch) is a five-year professional degree program accredited by the National Architectural Accrediting Board (NAAB). Students receive an industry-centered, liberal arts-infused education, blending academic scholarship with hands-on, professional learning. The program encourages interdisciplinary collaboration, and most of our faculty members are practicing industry professionals. As architectural practices evolve rapidly to meet new environmental, economic and societal challenges, our curriculum’s unique focus on market-driven innovation and sustainability gives students a competitive advantage in the industry. The Animation & Digital Media program at Thomas Jefferson University connects students to the animation and digital media industries with the objective of becoming successful filmmakers as well as designers capable of applying skillsets to a wide range of industries which are increasingly in demand. The program offers a thorough understanding of animation fundamentals along with practical experience utilizing cutting-edge tools and techniques. As a graduates of the program, you will be equipped for leading creative roles in film, television, visual effects, marketing and video games.

What is Animation?
Animation is the process of combining design, storytelling and production to add life to many types of media. This can include animation for film, television, visual effects, websites, multimedia presentations, mobile applications and video games.

You will learn the entire process of creating beautiful and engaging animations, from concept development and design to working with 2D and 3D animation production software to bring their creations to life. This program equips you with the knowledge for many careers, such as:

The marketing program at Thomas Jefferson University prepares students to become professionals with a broad understanding of business, communication, sales and research.

As a marketing student, you will benefit from dynamic, multidisciplinary training in multimedia communications and business. Additionally, you will learn to analyze demand and market segments, design budgets and campaigns, increase a company’s brand equity, and formulate marketing plans from start to finish.

Computed Tomography (CT) technologists use x-ray technology to take cross-sectional images of the body. CT technologists operate CT scanners, picture archiving and communication systems and related equipment. They dispense oral contrast to patients, perform venipuncture, evaluate CT scans for quality and accuracy, assist radiologist with special procedures and provide care for the psychological and physical needs of the patient.

They have direct contact with healthy and critically ill inpatients and outpatients of all all ages, lifting them to and from the exam table, and positioning them correctly for the tests, but generally work at computers in small, low-lit rooms.

Our Computed Tomography courses are available online and on-site for:

• Advanced placement students who have RT(R), RT(T), RT(N), CNMT or ARRT/NMTCB eligibility and 50 prerequisite credits
• Second year Dual-Concentration students who took radiography, radiation therapy or nuclear medicine in the first year
• Part-time Computed Tomography BS students who have RT(R), RT(T), RT(N), CNMT or ARRT/NMTCB eligibility and 50 prerequisite credits

The Bachelor of Science in Textile Product Science (TPS) prepares students to work in a global industry that includes fiber-engineered products for medical, geotextiles, architecture, fiber-reinforces composites and traditional apparel and home-furnishing applications. TPS program is comprised of thirteen (13) core textile courses, which delineate all TPS majors. The true interdisciplinary nature of Textile Product Science is realized in the student’s ability to select advanced work in one of the five, 9-course concentrations.

Another dimension of the program will be to educate and graduate fully integrated individuals who possess the technical and social competence and confidence to succeed in professional practice and advanced education, be lifelong learners and exercise responsible stewardship.

The M.S. in Taxation Program at Jefferson (Philadelphia University + Thomas Jefferson University) is geared toward practicing accountants in the fields of public, corporate, and governmental accounting as well as lawyers, financial managers and planners who need extensive information and formal study in taxation. The program prepares students for professional tax practice whether they are earning their degree, expanding their expertise on a specific topic, or taking courses to maintain their CPA license. We offer full-time and part-time options to accommodate work schedules and to allow students to earn their degrees rapidly.

The faculty includes partners and managers from national, regional, and local CPA firms, noted tax attorneys, and specialists in many areas such as financial planning and state and local taxation. They work for highly visible national and regional firms, and bring an exceptional standard of practice and expertise to the classroom.

Students in the program learn state-of-the-art online research methods that will help them stay current with a wide range of tax authorities throughout their careers. This active and collaborative program will prepare you for what’s next. You start collecting chemical knowledge and skills through core courses and shadowing faculty and upper-level student researchers.  As a sophomore, you will start helping with authentic, real-world research projects – experience many biochemistry students don’t get until graduate programs. This is possible thanks to the individual attention you get in our small classes and our well-equipped research laboratories.

The M.S. in Textile Design at Thomas Jefferson University offers an integrated, collaborative and proven curriculum that blends aesthetic, creative skills with emerging technologies. In studios and classrooms, students turn innovative ideas into original products.

State-of-the-art facilities, including The Center for Excellence of Digital Printing, electronic jacquard and dobby looms, computerized knitting machines, and extensive computer-aided design laboratories enable students to put professional skills into practice. The Design studio courses make up the majority of the coursework in the MS program and design research is stressed from the beginning.

Graduate students select either knit, print or weave as their area of concentration and the courses are taught by active members of the textile design field: artists, design directors, authors and researchers. Visiting artists and guest lecturers expand the educational experience, bringing real-world applications to the classroom experience.
Partnerships with industry, nexus learning sponsored projects, national and international design competitions and exhibitions at international trade shows provide practical experience as students prepare for graduation.

The Jefferson Textile Design program is enhanced by study abroad opportunities and a strong internship program. This TJU program gives graduates a commanding competitive edge in the global textile marketplace with our graduates attaining positions in all areas of the industry from national and international firms to boutique specialty retailers.

The Jefferson Communication program prepares students for today’s media marketplace through a broad-based education that emphasizes storytelling, critical thinking, creative problem-solving, and multimedia skills development.
