Thomas Jefferson University’s Bachelor of Architecture (B. Arch) is a five-year professional degree program accredited by the National Architectural Accrediting Board (NAAB). The Bachelor of Science in Interior Design program is grounded in the belief that the interior designer mediates between the human experience and the built environment and should enter the global marketplace as articulate, creative, inspired and socially aware design professionals. The program integrates collaborative, interdisciplinary and study abroad opporunities broadening students' knowledge and abilities. In this program, you will study psychology alongside biology, chemistry, anatomy and physiology, making this an ideal first step into further studies in a variety of experimental psychology settings, neuroscience, health fields, and scientific research.

In the textile design program, you will learn how to turn innovative ideas into actual printed, woven and knitted products. Through our proven curriculum, you will be trained to blend aesthetic and creative skills with the latest technologies.

You will take studio and technical courses in weaving, knitting and printing, dyeing and finishing, and materials technology. You will be taught by active members of the textile design field, including artists, design directors, authors and researchers. Visiting artists and guest lecturers expand the educational experience, bringing real-world applications to the classroom experience.

Partnerships with industry and national and international design competitions provide you with practical experience. You can also study abroad to learn about a new culture while expanding your textile design skills. And, since our faculty remain active in the textile design field, our internship program is one of the strongest in the industry. You may intern with companies like Urban Outfitters and Abercrombie & Fitch starting in your junior year.

 Upon graduation, you’ll be prepared to enter the global textile marketplace with a commanding competitive edge and attain positions in all areas of the industry from national and international firms to boutique and specialty retailers.

Our graduates’ first jobs include: print designers for apparel and home furnishings, dobby and jacquard woven stylists for contract and residential upholstery, and textile specialists for high performance sports apparel.

The Finance Program at Jefferson (Philadelphia University + Thomas Jefferson University) prepares students to become professionals with a comprehensive understanding of global financial markets and financial institutions.

Our graduates are prepared with skills to tackle complex financial problems, and have the professionalism to work effectively in any environment. As a student in the program, you will have the opportunity to network with industry professionals, participate in international competitions, manage an investment portfolio through our Student Managed Investment Fund, study abroad for a semester, and earn your iMBA degree in one additional year while preparing for the Chartered Financial Analyst Level I (CFA) exam.

Invasive cardiovascular technologists operate sophisticated imaging and patient monitoring equipment while working with the cardiologist, who performs procedures on patients, leading to the diagnosis and treatment of congenital and acquired heart disease and peripheral vascular disease. Using x-ray (fluoroscopy) and patient monitoring equipment, invasive cardiovascular technology (ICVT):

• Assist with percutaneous revascularization
• Operate cardiac assist pumps, patient monitoring and imaging equipment
• Monitor patient condition before, during and after procedure
• Provide care for the psychological and physical needs of the patient

Invasive cardiovascular technologists work directly with critically ill inpatients and outpatients of adult and geriatric ages, often performing invasive procedures. They work in a sterile environment, where they manipulate x-ray equipment to acquire images, sit at computer console to monitor vital signs and stand, sometimes for long periods of time, to assist the cardiologist during catheterization. The equipment invasive cardiovascular technologists work with requires that they wear lead aprons.

The M.S. in Taxation Program at Jefferson (Philadelphia University + Thomas Jefferson University) is geared toward practicing accountants in the fields of public, corporate, and governmental accounting as well as lawyers, financial managers and planners who need extensive information and formal study in taxation. The program prepares students for professional tax practice whether they are earning their degree, expanding their expertise on a specific topic, or taking courses to maintain their CPA license. We offer full-time and part-time options to accommodate work schedules and to allow students to earn their degrees rapidly.
