Material Science and Engineering-M.S.
The Materials Science and Engineering Program here at USF is interdisciplinary and is supported by a care group of dedicated faculty from the College of Engineering and the College of Arts and Sciences. This program offers a Master's Degree in Materials Science and Engineering and a Graduate Certificate in Materials Science and Engineering.

The program focuses on applying the fundamental principles of physics and chemistry to the engineering of materials. The curriculum is very flexible, giving each student to design a curriculum right for them. Their courses are supported by the core faculty affiliated with the program giving them a chance to learn explore a wide variety of materials and develop specialized skills as they see fit.

Some areas that students can specialize in include: electronic materials, nanomaterials, biomaterials, and polymers. Students can pursue a Master's thesis within the program with faculty across the USF campus engaged in materials science and engineering research. With this program, students develop the skills that can prepare for them a career in industrial positions of further aspirations of pursuing a PhD in science or engineering.

The Spanish Section of the Department of World Languages supports a broad, intellectually-driven approach to teaching language, culture, and literature in higher education. Languages and cultures are complex, multifunctional phenomena that link an individual to other individuals, to communities and to national cultures. The graduate major in Spanish offers students academic and practical training in the languages, literatures and cultures of the Spanish-speaking communities of Spain, Latin America, and the United States. Architecture-M.Arch.
The USF School of Architecture & Community Design's curriculum prepares its graduates for a full range of professional activities. The Master of Architecture degree (M. Arch.) is fully accredited by the National Architectural Accrediting Board (NAAB). The school's course of study emphasizes urban architecture and related topics to take advantage of its diverse metropolitan setting in Florida's Tampa Bay region. Geology
The Bachelor of Science degree program provides the student with a hands-on foundation in the fundamentals of the geosciences. As a result of faculty interests and geographic locations, several geologic sub-disciplines are emphasized, including applied geophysics, coastal geology, geochemistry, geomorphology, geoscience education, hydrogeology, paleobiology, petrology, and volcanology. However, the wide variety of courses and electives offered by the Geology, Environmental Sciences, and Geography programs within the School of Geosciences provides students with programs of study that can be tailored to fit individual needs while maintaining a sound background in all general aspects of geology.
