Electrical Engineering
The Electrical Engineering major offers study in all areas fundamental to the analysis, design, and development of electrical devices and systems. ?The areas covered by the major include foundational topics such as circuits and electrical power, to applications such as Internet of Things, Smart Grid, Security,  and Data Analytics. The major offers curriculum tracks that include: Bioelectrical Systems, Communication Systems, Energy, Power and Sustainability, Mechatronics, Robotics and Embedded Systems, Micro and Nano-scale Systems and Wireless Systems. Well-equipped laboratories reinforce fundamental concepts, while providing real world hands-on exposure.

The M.S. in Microbiology is administered by the Department of Cell Biology, Molecular Biology and Microbiology. The mission of the Department of Cell Biology, Microbiology and Molecular Biology (CMMB) is to prepare graduate students for various professional careers in academia, government or industry in the areas of Cell Biology, Microbiology, and Molecular Biology. We pursue excellence in the following programmatic research areas: genome integrity and mechanisms of aging, bacterial pathogenesis and resistance, structural and computational biology.

Due to the interdisciplinary aspect of most research projects, faculty and graduate students often work together on broad ranging research projects that bring together many of the traditionally separate areas of biology.

The B.A. degree in Music Studies is part of the Provost’s Scholars Program (PSP). This is a program in which qualified students who enter USF directly from high school with 18 or more credits will be offered the opportunity to complete their undergraduate education in 3 years. Each selected student will be provided preferred registration privileges so that critical courses are not closed when they register. They will be given summer scholarships if they need to take summer classes and will be given scholarships to help them participate in study abroad programs. PSP students will live in the Honors College Living/Learning Community year 1. Students will be offered the assistance of faculty or off campus mentors, depending upon career goals and will be encouraged to use the fourth year for graduate study here at USF. Participants will not need to take larger academic loads and can take advantage of all that USF has to offer.

Criminology
The Bachelor of Arts degree in Criminology provides students with the skills and knowledge needed in the wide variety of agencies that comprise the criminal justice system, these include law enforcement, detention, the judiciary, corrections, juvenile justice, probation and parole. Also, the undergraduate program prepares criminology students to pursue a graduate degree in Criminology or related disciplines. The undergraduate program in Criminology introduces students to the theory, issues and methodology of the causes of crime and the criminal justice system. The program provides students with the critical thinking skills necessary for the consumption and production of criminological research. Upon graduation, students must be able to delineate the main theoretical explanations of crime and delinquency, demonstrate knowledge of research methods used in the fields of criminology and criminal justice, and provide an understanding of the structure and process of the U.S. system of criminal justice.

Religious Studies-M.A.
The M.A. degree in Religious Studies provides opportunities for students with backgrounds in the scholarly study of religion to expand their knowledge of the social, cultural, intellectual, and historical contexts of religion, to develop a greater in-depth knowledge of particular religious traditions, and to acquire proficiency with a variety of pertinent methodologies and theoretical perspectives. The degree serves the needs of students who pursue careers in health professions in education, journalism, law, business, politics, and social work. It will be of special value to those interested in pursuing a doctorate in religious studies.

The Graduate Pathway in Chemical Engineering offers you the chance to enhance your English and academic ability. It will prepare you to successfully pursue graduate studies at University of South Florida. After successfully completing the Pathway program, you are guaranteed to enter your next semester of study. Chemical Engineering-M.S.
The USF Chemical Engineering M.S. program establishes a core 12-credit foundation in advanced Chemical Engineering fundamentals, while including considerable flexibility (18 credit hours) for participants to choose advanced electives defining an area of particular expertise. Both Thesis and Non-Thesis options are available. M.S. students are generally self-supported.

The Bachelor of Arts in Communication is a liberal arts degree that prepares students to communicate effectively and ethically in personal and professional relationships and in both face-to-face and mediated contexts. More specifically this degree prepares students to:

• Collaborate, work, and lead in culturally-diverse teams and organizations;
• Develop advanced communication skills and competencies in oral, written, social media, and/or other forms of communication;
• Analyze and create messages, presentations, and persuasive communication strategies;
• Understand, build, and strengthen personal and professional identities and relationships;
• Study and critique culture and media including: media organizations, communication technologies, and mediated content (e.g., television, film, music, print, computer, Internet, and social media);
• Apply communication knowledge and related skills in one or more specialized contexts (e.g., health care; media; marketing; law; politics; profits and not-for-profits; government; public advocacy; social movements; religion; world cafés; public dialogues; performance; intimate and family relationships);
• Engage in undergraduate communication research; and
• Become active and productive U.S. and global citizens.

World Languages and Cultures with a concentration in Interdisciplinary Classical Civilizations
The Bachelor of Arts in World Languages and Cultures offers students a solid foundation in language and linguistic skills, as well as knowledge of diverse cultures. Upon completion of the program, students will be able to interact and participate in a global environment.

The field of learning technology is growing rapidly in higher education, industry, and k-12 settings. Nearly all major companies, government agencies, school districts, and universities and colleges, are actively recruiting their own learning technology experts. The M.S. in Learning Design and Technology has a foundation in E-learning with focus opportunities. The major is designed to provide a comprehensive curriculum and intensive training to prepare students for the job market of today and emerging fields of tomorrow in K-12 schools, higher education, industry, and military or other governmental agencies where the design, development, implementation, and evaluation of online learning, game-based learning, cybersecurity education, and learning analytics take place.

The B.S. in Quantitative Economics and Econometrics is a baccalaureate degree focusing on the more analytical and applied aspects of economics, including forecasting, program and business evaluation, benefit/cost analysis and economic impact analysis.
