World Languages and Cultures with a concentration in Russian

Long Term Care Administration
The Bachelor of Science Degree in Long Term Care Administration provides students with a basic education in gerontology and allows graduates of the program to sit for the licensure examination to become Nursing Home Administrators. It is especially appropriate for students who intend to begin working immediately following completion of the degree program.

Religious Studies-M.A.
The M.A. degree in Religious Studies provides opportunities for students with backgrounds in the scholarly study of religion to expand their knowledge of the social, cultural, intellectual, and historical contexts of religion, to develop a greater in-depth knowledge of particular religious traditions, and to acquire proficiency with a variety of pertinent methodologies and theoretical perspectives. The nationally ranked MFA Degree Program in Art has been carefully designed as a course of study that will maximize the student’s potential for in depth investigation of his or her chosen artistic ideas, themes and /or media. Students are encouraged to acquire technical and conceptual skills in more than one medium or studio discipline and to work toward developing techniques that best communicate the content of their artistic pursuits.

Graphic Arts with Illustration Concentration
The Graphic Arts degree offers students a sequence of rigorous courses that balance critical thinking and pragmatic experience, complemented by the enriched experience of the liberal arts environment of the University of South Florida.

Graphic artists develop the images that give voice to the world around us. Using their raw materials - the ability to think, draw, write, speak and design - students learn the skills to solve specific visual problems. The study of typography, design concepts, and digital technology develops an understanding of the tradition, practice, and process of graphic design.

This program guides students in building the imagination, aesthetic sensitivity, and powers of critical thought required to succeed as visual communicators. The curriculum emphasizes expertise in image development, typography, print and screen-based graphics, and interactive design. The program prepares students for the rigor of professional design practice through an internship program, courses in production, and portfolio development. Additionally, students design, organize and promote an exhibition of their final senior project.

The Bachelor of Science in Hospitality Management, in School of Hospitality & Tourism Management (SHTL) at the Sarasota-Manatee campus location, prepares graduates for global leadership positions in the hospitality industry through foundational knowledge of hospitality operations and experiences that develop critical thinkers who promote diversity, ethical responsibility, lifelong learning, and community engagement.

Music Performance with a concentration in Performance
The Music Performance degree is a professional degree for students who wish to pursue a career in music. Students interested in a B.M. degree may choose between concentrations in: Performance, Composition, Jazz Studies and Acoustic and Electronic Music. This degree program requires 120 credit hours of study that include private study on the student’s principle instrument and participation in ensembles. Additionally, students complete music theory, history and literature sequences, and take additional coursework in their chosen concentration. Graduates from BM programs at USF find themselves in very competitive positions for graduate study and musical careers. Admission into the BM in music degree requires an audition on your major instrument.

Chemistry
The Bachelor of Science in Chemistry is designed for students wishing to continue with graduate training in chemistry and closely allied disciplines and the degree is certified by the American Chemical Society. The Bachelor of Science in Chemistry provides a firm foundation in all five disciplines of chemistry: organic, physical chemistry, inorganic, analytical and biochemistry. Students interested in research, the pursuit of an advanced degree, employment in the chemical industry, or who want to teach at the secondary education level may find this degree attractive. The curriculum for the B.S. degree in Chemistry meets the requirements for degree certification by the American Chemical Society.

The College is accredited by the Council on Education in Public Health. For the M.P.H. in Public Health Concentration in Nutrition and Dietetics, the USF Dietetic Internship is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Education in Nutrition and Dietetics.

Biomedical Engineering-M.S.
Biomedical Engineering is a highly interdisciplinary Major that combines engineering and the medical sciences. The student works with an advisor to develop a graduate Major that draws on courses from engineering, medicine, public health, and the life sciences.
