Physics
The B.A. program is designed for students who are not currently planning to attend physics graduate school and/or who want to pursue parallel studies in other fields such as mathematics, biology, chemistry, computer science, engineering, business, pre-med, pre-law, and teacher education.

The Master of Arts (M.A.) in Criminal Justice online program develops in qualified students the skills to apply principles, theories, and research in the field of criminal justice to “real world” issues.

Business Administration-M.B.A.
The nationally ranked MBA program helps students develop analytical skills and creative abilities, and promotes collaboration with experienced and diverse classmates. World Languages and Cultures with a concentration in Russian
The Bachelor of Arts in World Languages and Cultures offers students a solid foundation in language and linguistic skills, as well as knowledge of diverse cultures. Upon completion of the program, students will be able to interact and participate in a global environment.

The M.A. degree in Religious Studies provides opportunities for students with backgrounds in the scholarly study of religion to expand their knowledge of the social, cultural, intellectual, and historical contexts of religion, to develop a greater in-depth knowledge of particular religious traditions, and to acquire proficiency with a variety of pertinent methodologies and theoretical perspectives. The degree serves the needs of students who pursue careers in health professions in education, journalism, law, business, politics, and social work. It will be of special value to those interested in pursuing a doctorate in religious studies.

The undergraduate Marine Biology program explores the ecology of marine environments and the nature of organisms inhabiting the oceans. The objective of this program is to augment the students’ foundation in basic biology with specialized knowledge and skills in marine biology that address contemporary issues such as coastal resilience, coastal pollution, diseases of marine organisms and restoring damaged habitats. An emphasis on data collection and research methods in the field and laboratory will ready students for employment in places such as consulting firms, environmental agencies, aquaria, and parks, while also preparing them for graduate school.   Internships, undergraduate research experiences, upper-level seminars, and reading from the primary literature will develop critical thinking skills and prepare students to address the many complex issues in marine biology, thereby practicing critical thinking and the application of science to grand societal/economic challenges.

Health Sciences with a concentration in Biological Health Sciences
This Bachelor of Science in Health Sciences is designed for those interested in health science, the health care industry and the allied health professions. The degree has a flexible curriculum so students may choose an area of specialization to suit their career interests. Career choices after graduation include working in health related nonprofit organizations, governmental and community agencies, medical records, patient education, geriatric care settings, diagnostic laboratories, hospitals, the pharmaceutical industry, medical and wellness facilities and businesses. Students graduating with this degree may enter the workforce or continue their education in a variety of fields that might include advanced degree programs in Health Management, Physical or Occupational Therapy, Physician Assistant, Health Administration, Healthcare Informatics, Communication Disorders and Social Work, to name a few. This degree has greater flexibility and students may have more exposure to social science, business and humanities courses than the more natural science- and mathematics-intensive degrees sometimes required for some health-based professional schools.

The degree in Physical Sciences will prepare students for employment in technical fields requiring a background in one or more of the physical sciences.

The curriculum in Art History reflects the belief that a traditional liberal arts program, supplemented by travel, is the best preparation for students who wish to teach the history of art at the college level or work in museums and galleries. Students will not specialize in a particular area such as Renaissance or Modern, but will acquire a general knowledge of the history of art. All Art History majors are required to take at least one 4000-level non-Western Art History course. Courses in areas such as history, philosophy, and literature are recommended as electives, both as supplement to undergraduate courses in art history and as a background for future graduate work. Art History majors are required to take courses in studio art as a means of better understanding what is involved in the art making process. It is important that students make every effort to travel to major museums in this country and, if possible, abroad.
