Graduate Pathway in Economics (1-Semester Pathway) Leading to Master of Arts in Economics

The Master of Science in Cybersecurity is an interdisciplinary major that utilizes talent across the Colleges of Business, Engineering, Arts & Sciences, and Behavioral and Community Sciences. The major prepares students for leadership, managerial and domain-specific roles in Cybersecurity and for employment in managerial and operational positions that require quick analytical thinking, decision-making under uncertainty regarding critical resources, and domain-specific technical skills for managing secure operations. Specifically, based on the design of the concentrations and the core of this major, the major is also expected to prepare students for

• Intelligence positions that require innovative, analytical, decision-making, and technical skills for providing cybersecurity intelligence,
• Information assurance positions that require secure management of information and data transferred, used, stored, and processed in information systems,
• Law enforcement positions that are required to deal more and more with cyber-crimes, and
• Cybersecurity positions that require deep technical skills in the security domain.

Because this is a graduate-level major, to ensure that students possess the foundational knowledge for academic success, students admitted to this major are most likely to be successful if they have academic or work experience in the areas of C/C++ programming, computer networks, operating-system design, algorithms, data structures, and computer organization. An undergraduate degree in computer science, computer engineering, MIS, or IT is recommended for admission. Note: For the Information Assurance Concentration it is recommended that students have a background in accounting information systems, database management, and systems analysis and design.

International Year One in Natural and Health Sciences will prepare you to enter the second year of a bachelor's degree program at the University of South Florida. Geology
The Bachelor of Arts program is designed primarily for the liberal arts student who has an interest in careers in Geoscience education or environmental policy and law. A student who elects the B.A. program and decides to pursue the geology profession or attend graduate school will need at least field geology in his/her program.

An INTO USF Graduate Pathway program in Biomedical Engineering will prepare you to enter your next semester of a master’s degree program at University of South Florida. Biomedical Engineering-M.S.
Biomedical Engineering is a highly interdisciplinary Major that combines engineering and the medical sciences. The student works with an advisor to develop a graduate Major that draws on courses from engineering, medicine, public health, and the life sciences.

Active areas of research include: (1) biomedical imaging and bioelectronics, (2) cell and tissue engineering, (3) molecular medicine and drug delivery, (4) neuroengineering and rehabilitation engineering

The M.A. degree in Religious Studies provides opportunities for students with backgrounds in the scholarly study of religion to expand their knowledge of the social, cultural, intellectual, and historical contexts of religion, to develop a greater in-depth knowledge of particular religious traditions, and to acquire proficiency with a variety of pertinent methodologies and theoretical perspectives. The degree serves the needs of students who pursue careers in health professions in education, journalism, law, business, politics, and social work. It will be of special value to those interested in pursuing a doctorate in religious studies.

International Year One in Visual and Performing Arts will prepare you with the skills you'll need to continue on as a second year visual and performing arts student at the University of South Florida. Music Studies
The B.A. degree in Music Studies is part of the Provost’s Scholars Program (PSP). This is a program in which qualified students who enter USF directly from high school with 18 or more credits will be offered the opportunity to complete their undergraduate education in 3 years. Each selected student will be provided preferred registration privileges so that critical courses are not closed when they register. They will be given summer scholarships if they need to take summer classes and will be given scholarships to help them participate in study abroad programs. PSP students will live in the Honors College Living/Learning Community year 1. Students will be offered the assistance of faculty or off campus mentors, depending upon career goals and will be encouraged to use the fourth year for graduate study here at USF. Participants will not need to take larger academic loads and can take advantage of all that USF has to offer.

The Master of Business Administration (M.B.A.) is a professional degree designed to prepare graduates for managerial and/or leadership roles in organizations. Graduates will develop the necessary skills and problem?solving techniques that will permit them to make an early contribution to management and eventually to move into broad, general management responsibilities at the executive level.

Humanities and Cultural Studies with a concentration in Humanities
The Humanities program offers an interdisciplinary curriculum that investigates the visual arts, music, and literature, and the cultures from which they emerge.

Quantitative Economics and Econometrics
The B.S. in Quantitative Economics and Econometrics is a baccalaureate degree focusing on the more analytical and applied aspects of economics, including forecasting, program and business evaluation, benefit/cost analysis and economic impact analysis.

The Master of Science in Advanced Athletic Training has an emphasis on youth sports injury and other advanced athletic training competencies. This post-professional major is directed towards students either who hold the athletic training credential issued by the Board of Certification (BOC) or who are BOC-eligible or have equivalent athletic training professional preparation and wish to seek an advanced degree.  This major is designed to provide students with a post-professional degree in Advanced Athletic Training with an emphasis on youth sports injury.  For information on tuition costs, please contact the Department.

Africana Studies
Africana Studies is a liberal arts program offering a Bachelor of Arts in Africana Studies, a Minor in Africana Studies and a Certificate in Africana Literatures. This program provides all students with the opportunity to study the history, culture and lived experiences of people of African descent–on the African continent and throughout the world. Students also study the influence of Africa and people of African descent on the world at-large. The Africana Studies curriculum also explores the social construction of race and racism and encourages the development of critical thinking skills while also challenging students to explore new ideas, seek new connections and become actively engaged in the global community.
